Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was interrupted repeatedly by hecklers as he and his likely Democratic presidential opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., separately addressed the National Association of Latino Elected Officials Saturday, at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C.
McCain was interrupted four times by protestors, three of whom were identifiable as CodePink members. Four separate interruptions (as opposed to the number of people protesting, which can vary) may tie a record for recent McCain events.
In Denver in late May, McCain was interrupted four times during a foreign policy speech.
One of the protestors spoke in Spanish, then translated as she was getting hauled out of the room: "Your silence is consent to war crimes," she shouted at the crowd, which booed her.
Three of the protestors were women, one was a man.
Of the first protestor, a woman from Code Pink who frequents most of McCain's stops in Washington, McCain quipped, "That's a very familiar voice to me."
The woman was protesting the Iraq war, saying that she wanted a "peace candidate."

As far as I’m concerned, it’s too bad hecklers weren’t there (NALEO meeting) to protest BOTH candidates on illegal immigration/amnesty/and border security!!
If McCain is going to be our candidate, he needs to know NOW that we won’t tolerate ANY amnesty of ANY kind for ANY illegal aliens, and yes, our borders must be effectively secured FIRST.
Oh, yeah, the public would be allowed to go through and gawk at them, point, and laugh.

There was a code pink member at a McCain rally who shouted a few times that he deserved to be tortured in Vietnam because the war was illegal and the U.S. were again invading a country that did nothing to us.

This is going to become so common that it won’t even be reported. Breaking up McCain’s speeches or even GOP meetings will become a normal practice. It almost happened in the last election. I lived in a small city where GOPers got their cars keyed when they were attending meetings, people would burst into the headquarters and scare the old ladies at the phone banks, and one night, the windows were broken (by a college professor, no less!). The GOP office was in a primarily black neighborhood, and bands of children and sometimes the occasional adult would follow the GOP volunteers from the office to their cars, taunting them and on one occasion that I saw, spitting on them.
This election is going to be even uglier.
Most of the Code Pink whores are certifiable lunatics - and unabashed enemies of the Republic...

Some of us FReepers and Protest Warriors here in San Diego have countered the Code Pinkos many times.
What a sad lot of scum they are.
They have brain disorders and their picture of the world can fit in 3x5 frame. They truly can’t see the forest for the trees.
The problem is that we have to live there too...
I don’t know. The thing that was strange was that we would occasionally get phone calls from black voters (who identified themselves as black) saying that they wanted to vote Republican but they were afraid that their neighbors would find out, so they couldn’t work for Bush but would pray for him. I wish the GOP had better outreach to black voters and also to Hispanic voters. We sign these blocks over to the Dems and forget about them; the fact is that they are under a lot of pressure in their own “communities,” and with the racist Hussein Obama as the Dem leader this year, blacks are going to be under major, major pressure.
