Posted on 06/25/2008 6:47:27 PM PDT by Wil H

Police reports show that three men arrested in a Phoenix home invasion and homicide Monday may have been active members of the Mexican Army.

While on the J.D. Hayworth show, Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Mark Spencer said that the men involved were hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations.

The Monday morning incident at 8329 W. Cypress St. resulted in the death of the homeowner. Between 50 and 100 rounds were fired at the house.

Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

He added that all were all dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.

Your do-nothing Governor, Napolitano, and Illegal-sympathising mayor, Phil Gordon, are trying to sweep this under the rug.

And the AZ Republic is ignoring it too...no surprise there.

Nuevo Laredo coming to a town near you....

Look folks, it’s our fault. If we had granted amnesty to these Mexican soldiers, this wouldn’t have happened! /s

I don’t know what it’s going to take for our federal government to take this situation serious, but I’m by no means convinced they do to this day.

It would seem to me that even if true, the Mexicans would never corroborate this. I hope there is something else beside their attire to support this conclusion. BTW, it wouldn't surprise me if true.

We had a republican house, senate, and white house on 9/11. I fully expected some action then but no dice.

If they weren’t wearing the uniform, then they were illegal combatants which, thanks to the SCOTUS gives them the full rights of citizenship, and more rights than our own military would have.

Isn’t that amazing. That and other issues are what contribute to my perception that we have been damned lucky since 09/11.

We’ll pay for it in time. And when we do, some bastard will state that there wasn’t any way anyone could have known.

And when they say that, I’m going to nearly go postal.

We have a large influx of Californians, and her Republican challenger was not liked by a fair number of Republican women. I don't know if they didn't vote, or didn't vote for him. In the end, the result was the same.

La Gubernadora won.

Unfortunately I don't. I remember recalling our Governor though. Not like Arnold has been all that good. It's a pity your recall didn't work, perhaps if it did we wouldn't have McCain as the presumptive nominee.

“Nuevo Laredo coming to a town near you....”

I just did a Google Map search, with the satellite view.
This is not a run-down derelict neighborhood.

This is a very nice neighborhood and nice homes.
So we can not imagine that just because we might be fortunate enough to live in a “nice” suburbian home that we will be protected from this sort of violence.

Your comment is quite apropos: “Nuevo Laredo coming to a town near you....”

I shudder to think that the lunacy will come to an end only when a high-profile politico becomes the target of a Mexico-sourced assassination, whether it be the cartels or the government.

Or possibly when the Mexican Army is seen on Fox News duking it out with a hastily-assembled militia of Americans hell-bent on defending their nation.

Ultimately,if we as a nation have not determined to ultimately cede certain territories to Mexico, this will require an invasion and clearing of the entire Mexican border area and establishment of Golan Heights style administration in a strip of northern Mexico.

Mexico is the Southern Front in the current world war. We are not fighting in that war seriously yet. We may not ever get serious. We may find it easier to cede territory than actually get serious.

Good security work is not luck. But good security work has been politically counterproductive because much of the population doesn’t believe there is a real war on, other than the border fights in Afghanistan and Iraq.

An Act Of War.

We should respond accordingly, unfortunately the U.S. fedgov is more likely to kill the witnesses and cover up the cross border invasion to keep from embarrassing mexico than it is to do anything that might upset it’s masters south of the border.

Isn’t that where leadership comes in though. I don’t think the public would have balked at getting our borders under control. I don’t think they would have balked at severely reducing the number of Saudi Arabians in country on student visas either.

I cannot figure out why we have allowed these two important areas to go unaddressed for seven years after 09/11. It’s baffling.

Bush has for the most part refused to defend his policies and acts to the people and thereby throws away much of the benefits of his security policies. He gets littlesupport because no one knows what he is doing and he won’t defend it so he has no incentive to go the next step on the Mexican border and shutting out dangerous immigrant.
