PARIS (EJP)---Five youths detained after a Jewish teenager was beaten into a coma by a gang in Paris have been released without charge, AFP reported Wednesday quoting judicial officials.
The minors, aged 14 to 17, were held for questioning as witnesses following Saturday's attack in the multi-ethnic 19th district of the capital.
The Paris prosecutor Jean-Claude Marin said Tuesday the 17-year-old victim, Rudy Haddad, was beaten by a gang after street brawls between Jewish teenagers and youths of north African and sub-Saharan descent.
The boy was so badly beaten by a gang wielding metal bars that he went into a coma from which he only emerged on Monday.
According an informed source, he is slowly recovering but remains “very traumatized” and is encountering memory problems. A probe for "murder attempt aggravated by its anti-Semitic character” has been launched against the perpetrators, a group of six or seven youths of black African origin, who remain at large.
The prosecutor has confirmed the anti-Semitic character of the aggression and said anti-Semitic insults – like "dirty Jew" - were shouted during the aggression.
Sources quoted in the press reported that several brawls broke out in the area Saturday afternoon between Jewish and North Africans and black youth groups and that Haddad was attacked later on the day when he was walking alone in Rue Petit, near the Haya Mouchka Lubavitch synagogue.

Jewish youth in France should not wear kippas and should travel in groups if possible. Better yet, they should move to Israel.

There nothing to be done if witnesses do not come forward or if the victim can’t identify any of them. They get away with it. What I am advocating is the French Jews protect themselves and not walk around with a target(kippah) like this naive kid.
The headline should read Muslim gang attacks Jewish man, or something like that. It sure looks like a religious hate crime. Don’t know if they have hate crime laws as such in France, or if it even matters.
And the continual violence with cars being blown up by undefined youth in France continues to be a major problem.

The headline is extremely misleading. It makes it sound like they had the perps and let them go, when in the story it says they questioned some possible witnesses and let them go. The perps are still out there.
Anyway, French Jews should get out of the country. Come to America, as long as you don’t plan to vote anti-Israel, anti-West, anti-Liberty and anti-FreeSpeech like the Jews here mostly do.
Otherwise, you should probably move to Israel. Europe is not a safe place for Jews anymore.
