House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has come out in defense of Barack Obama over his ties to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, saying the controversial pastor wont affect voters decisions in November.
Look, I am just glad [Obama] went to church, Pelosi told Fox News Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday night.
Pelosi, a Catholic, said she doesnt believe that politicians should be held accountable for everything that their pastors say in their church.
I have disagreements with some of
my own pastors and churches that I go to and if I had to walk out every time I had an area of disagreement, then I would be hard put. Its a disagreement.

Sucha adisaster is coming. Pelosi may be right, nothing will affect voters’ choices in November. They will elect Obama despite his being a radical racist with policies that suck.
Pelosi’s record of demonstrating, and proving, she is a total moron and dangerously inept politician, to say nothing about her radical support of socialism, continues almost daily. Every time she opens her moronic liberal mouth, it sprays in all directions. We can thank the voters of 2006 for her....
Good to know that if it turns out McCain attended a KKK church it shouldn’t matter to voters.
Yeah, Pelosi has differences with her pastor. He believes abortion is a mortal sin and she believes it’s a constitutional right. She refuses to abide by the most sacred tenets of the religion she professes. She shouldn’t walk out - she should be thrown out. And excommunicated.
As for Obama, I don’t believe he’s a Christian. I believe he’s an Obamist.
I have disagreements with some of my own pastors and churches that I go to and if I had to walk out every time I had an area of disagreement, then I would be hard put. Its a disagreement.
Yep, Nan, that abortion issue is really a tough one...
...”I have disagreements with some of my own pastors and churches that I go to and if I had to walk out every time I had an area of disagreement, then I would be hard put. Its a disagreement.”...
This has “lie” written all over it. First, Pelosi uses the old disclaimer, “I’m just glad he goes to church”, a convention that is used to excuse people from many things. Second, Pelosi, a “Catholic” uses the term “pastors” rather than “priests”, the latter being what you find in a Catholic church. This tells me she is not truly religious or a practicing Catholic. Third, how many churches does she go to, and if she goes to many I seriously doubt she has had a chance for “disagreements” because she would not know the priest very well. All in all, a string of disingenuous remarks comprising a big, fat lie.
Pelosi: “Besides, Obama probably slept through those 20 years.”
Well, at least she disagrees with satan at least SOME of the time.
She’s a disgrace to the USA and to the RC religion. She opens her mouth and out comes insulting statements about her own religious group. As a Catholic I am astounded and irate! There is nothing remotely similar between what the Rev. Jeremiah Wright was spouting to his congregation for so many years and what is heard in the Catholic churches in America (Rev. Michael Pfleger excepted).
The church that Obama attended and donated to for 15 years - is a racist church. There is no other way to interpret it.
More importantly, he clearly has no personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
I was a Christian before I was ever baptized, and Obama could be, too...except, as the 8 ball says, “all signs point to no.”
Nancy Pelosi is deeply disturbed
Obama is a socialist and so will this country be after four years of Obama and his sitting 2-3 even four Supreme Court judges.
Attending a “Hate Whitey” church isn’t a disagreement, it’s a way of life.
I will never vote for this black-panther, racist, socialist, abortionist, gun-grabbing, crotch-grabbing, flip-flopping, homosexual-lifestyle-loving, anti-American, Word-of-God twisting, terrorist-loving man. Period.
Behold the Evil Whitey!

Adios Trinity! I'm out of here for now!

This is my church, the one I never quit.
I totally agree. I was just pointing out that not being baptized is the least of Obama’s spiritual worries.
“Answering one of Rev. Wright’s “altar calls” and swearing allegiance to the Black Value System does not make one a Christian - - no matter what anybody says.”
Agreed again. Of course, I still believe Obama is a muslim...just like most muslims do.
On February 27th, 2007, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”
In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent.”
The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada:
“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... “
According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim. This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim’s complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.
Obama knows this from his Quranic studies — and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world.
Regardless of Obama’s religion, what message is he sending the world’s 1.2 billion Muslims?
I suppose it’s easy for Obama to remember the Shahada for the 35 years since he left Indonesia — and in ‘first-class’ Arabic — especially since he believes the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”
The fact that Obama can recall the Shahada after 35 years and the fact that he believes that the daily call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth” say that those Muslim prayers run through his head often — what does that make him?
