Hezbollah: Iran’s Army in Lebanon
Cross Action News ^ | 6-24-08 | Elias Bejjani

Unfortunately, Lebanon is facing at the present time a crucial and fatal threat to the core and essence of its existence, its soul of coexistence and freedom.

The free world is apparently turning a blind eye to the threat to Lebanon, the land of the historic cedars, the home of the great Phoenicians, and the unique mosaic and multi-cultural country of the Middle East. This tragedy has been unfolding without a decisive deterrent stance from the free world.

“Elias Bejjani is a human rights activist, journalist and political commentator.”

Hey, I know, maybe the Lebanese themselves should start taking responsibility for their own freedom. I’m willing to support them diplomatically, but my kid is busy in Iraq. Maybe the “human rights activist” author who penned this article should put actions where his mouth is. Let Elias Bejjani lead the way. Talk is cheap.

The West is preoccupied chasing phantoms like the ozone hole, acid rain, or today “global warming.”

The West is not coherent in thought and fractured, largely does not want to see a threat, or is to ignorant to put their arms around these events. The West can best be seen as complacent, seeing the problems in the Middle East as distant and removed from their threat radar.

What “really” happened on 911? Madrid? Moscow? Beslan? London? With Pim Fortuyn? Van Gogh?????? The world is changing because of global trade, open boarders in Europe, more and cheaper air travel than ever before, more ports of embarkation and debarcation, cell phone, satellite TV, Internet...... What really is happing is that the SAME threats and problems faced by Israel have been imported to the greater Western area as Muslim populations in places like France, Great Britain, the US, Germany etc. have exploded. In the most macro level view, what happened at Dizengoff Square is the same as what happened in Madrid, or at 911. Middle East terror has been exported to the West, and what you see in the West is a denial, minimization, or diversion of this reality. Al Gore will sell you a Carbon Offset and claim that the real threat to our national security is global warming. The FBI calls every criminal a “terrorist.” You get the point...... The concept that you have a large movement that is ideologically based, backed by rouge states like Iran and Syria, that they are engaging in acts of violence against civilian targets with the intent to change public policy has all sort of become perverted in a world of political correctness with talk of the “Religion of Peace,” and security institutions calling every bank robber a “terrorist.”

Message for Israel: Don't depend on us. We have our head to far up our ass to see what is going on right now.

As a second generation AMERICAN of Christian Lebanese descent, I have no hope for Lebanon. Not because the West has turned a blind eye but because the Christian won't stand up. I have cousins in Lebanon and I can tell you that growing up under Syrian occupation and Islamic propaganda (i.e., believing Israel is the problem) the Christian's are effectively neutered. Moderate Islam is carrying more water for freedom and independence than Christians.

I read a very interesting article about Iran and Lebannon recently. It very accurately equated Hizbollah to a Iranian aircraft carrier parked next to Israel so it can easily wage war whenever it wants. Thats why they refuse to disarm according to UN resolutiion 1701. They take their orders from Iran and the weapons provided by Iran.

One of the quotes that stood out was an interview with a Lebannese cilivian describing the stealth coup by Hezbollah recently as they attacked Sunni and Christian areas to gain control of the Lebanese government and keep their seperate security at the airport so they can continue to recieve weapons shipments from Iran. He said, “Its like being raped, and then the attacker expects you to say thank you and kiss them after.”

Exactly. Direct Israel never to capture these murderous Islamofascist but kill the little bas....... so the Left will not weep for their Constitutional rights! If we did it in Afghan and Iraq, things would really be looking up in our war against these Islamo thugs.

You touch a topic dear to me,

Those at GITMO are alive because of two reasons:

1. The benevolence of the US forces

2. Because they might have some intelligence value

Not American citizens, on foreign soil, unlawful combatants (not covered by the Geneva Convention) these folk had the right to be executed on the spot.

No matter what the liberal and typical Euro idiot thinks; out of uniform, fighting under no flag of a nation, not abiding to any rules of land warfare or concept of proportionality...... they are neither POWs, nor SHOULD they have the rights afforded to an American because they are simply outside the parameters of those who the laws and definitions were “intended” to include. The US Constitution does not apply to every AQ dude living in Afghanistan, and the status of POW is not afforded to terrorists that target civilians, wear no uniforms, and fight a guerrilla war, and are under no national flag.

Liberals typically like to talk about “shades of gray” and the complexity of life, especially when they have no argument and attempt to make a point by sliding into some form of situational ethical relativism. The arguments then essentially become about redefining what words mean and polemics. Simple fact, near all these dudes the US has at Gitmo would have been hung in WWI, WWII, the Civil War........... They would not even have made it to any trail; they would have simply been shot or hung, on the spot. It’s really that simple. They are no POWs, and they are no US citizens nor on US soil. Done deal, except when you start talking to a liberal.

Frankly, IMHO they should be interrogated, and after that is complete and all the probable intelligence has been gleaned, executed in accordance to Regulation 190-55: www.fas.org/irp/doddir/army/r190_55.pdf

As to the Israeli’s, I hope they’re smarter than us when they catch these dudes.

I pray that you will send your reply to all 100 Senators and 435 House reps. The RNC and old John will not make this statement. We need to make sure that many Americans do not think that liberal interpretation of ‘rights’ is correct. And it is necessary for McCain to win, though I have doubts, because SCOTUS choices are even more important than many Americans thought. Especially after Kelo, Gitmo, and even today’s , Child Rape NO for capital punishment.
