American Judaism has a boy problem.
After several thousand years in which women were relegated to the sidelines of worship and community leadership, scholars and denominational leaders now say that women are significantly outnumbering men in numerous key segments of non-Orthodox Jewish community life.
At the Reform movement's seminary, 60 percent of the rabbinical students and 84 percent of those studying to become cantors are female. Girls are outnumbering boys by as much as 2 to 1 among adolescents in youth group programs and summer camps, while women outnumber men at worship and in a variety of congregational leadership roles...
The evidence is everywhere. At Temple Sinai in Sharon, nine of the 11 members of this year's confirmation class were girls. At Temple Beth David in Canton, last Saturday's Bible study drew 11 women and no men. At Temple Isaiah in Lexington, the executive board for the last year had eight women and one man. And at the Prozdor, an intensive supplementary high school program at Hebrew College in Newton, 59 percent of the students are female.

The phenomenon is most pronounced in the Reform movement, which is the largest branch of Judaism in the United States, but is also being observed, to a lesser extent, in conservative Judaism. In Orthodox Judaism, where traditional gender roles are maintained, a more familiar struggle is underway, as orthodox feminists agitate for greater roles in worship and possible ordination as rabbis.
There is no consensus about why women are now disproportionately represented in non-Orthodox settings, although scholars and Jewish leaders note that the pattern, although a departure from traditional Judaism, mirrors the pattern seen in mainline Protestantism.

Since Reform Judaism is for the most part not Jewish at all, why is this a “problem” for Jews? Listen to any random female “rabbi” give a sermon and instead of following it with a Torah in your hand for reference, one would be better off with a copy of The Communist Manifesto or the any random press release from the ACLU, GLAAD or Planned Parenthood.
Maybe American Jews ARE effeminate. More than 7 of 10 reflexively support Osama Obama, despite his anti-Semitic quotes and followers.
When a group of people are told enough times that they are not needed and given a list of things that are wrong with them don’t be surprised if they go away.
The men are marrying Catholic women because the Jewish women are radical feminists....imho.
I also love it when he takes the family to church, leads us in prayer, opens doors for me and any other lady he sees, adores his mama, watches his girls like a hawk, and will happily defend all of his beliefs down to his last drop of blood.
I wish more women would simply accept the differences and love their men for what they are, rather than what the MSM presents us as the perfect man.
I notice this in a lot of organizations
Women have a great ability to nag and argue until they get their way. Most men do not like arguing with women at great length, so they wander off to find something else to do that does not involve arguing with women
My neighbor was Jewish. His wife was fat and bossy as was her sisters. They never talked in a normal voice, it was always high pitched screaming. Even with the windows up and A/C on, I could alway hear them.
When their sons went to college, things quieted down significantly. No wonder the men are leaving.

This is what happens to religious organizations who allow women to become preachers. I have no problem with women speaking to congregations about religion, the Bible, etc., but inevitably the image of religious men becomes diluted by increased women in the pulpit. History proves my case.
Now, in the RC church, feminists insist on being ordained priests, which is an oxymoronic idea. Cannot be done. But, they persist in this nonsense anyway. I am grateful that the RC church has maintained the male priesthood. It’s not about equality, but about the priest standing in persona of Jesus. Women cannot be priests.
Remember those who support Barry Osama are Reform "Jews" which are not religious Jews. Real Jews--Orthodox Jews--voted for George W. Bush in 2004 with 69%. Deformed Jews are turning gay, converting or getting abortions, or getting old and dying off (FDR-worshiping morons), while Orthodox Jews are having 5.9 kids per couple on average. Do the math. The future of Judaism belongs to the Orthodox. Good for Jews. Good for America.
Same phenomenon in the Catholic Church. Despite the warning of Pope John Paul II, that the presence of girls on the altar would ultimately scare away the boys (and there go the vocations), the door was cracked and now it has been pushed wide open by feminist forces in the Church. So frustrated are some priests by the pressure to replace altar boys with altar girls, they are opting to perform the Mass alone.
To produce boys, You have to be able to deliver the “high

LOL!....I’m channeling Judge Judy here....only she’s not fat; but OY! what a tongue on that woman.
Bingo! The most intense argument I had with a female employee (an attorney) ended shortly with me saying "you go right ahead" and deploying to the local beer hall. After a couple of beers I had forgotten the whole thing and was she was ok with me again. Unfortunately she did go right ahead....with a formal complaint to admin.
Ahhh the differences between men and women....sigh. She lost the complaint though and ended up looking foolish. Were buds again though.....sort of.
In general where women take the leadership roles in organizations men will tend to gravitate out to organizations they feel they are needed.

Perhaps you are not aware that the vast majority of Israelis are secular, would you consider them not Jewish as well?

Our "after action" relationship is very formal, cordial, and subdued. She got hammered by admin for false charges, she knows she effed up, I forgive her cuz I have effed up myself a few times when I was a youngun.....There is no more screeching because all we say now is hi, how ya doing, nice weather etc. You are right though, I don't trust her.
This just does not surprise me. Most Christian churches are full of little old ladies, now it happens in the Jewish church? Women just care more about religion than do men. look at when Jesus was on the cross! His 12 disciples were no where to be found yet every woman from miles around cried as he was taken to calvary and stood there at the cross!

I grew up in Deformed Judiasm. The so-called rabbis are mostly ex-hippies with BDS; in love with the Democrat party and abortion. I have gone to 8 Deformed "temples" over the last few years and been repulsed by the sermons, which are usually either Bush-bashing, Land-for-peace-endorsing, or chock full of left-wing aphorisms straight out of Chomsky. Then I went to a Conservative shul, and got a rabbi who led a blessing for the IDF. Better, although that group has its own problems with the gay issue.

I was speaking about America, not Israel. Israelis don't vote in U.S. elections, which is what this thread is about. The FDR-worshiping morons are in Florida, for example.

Sure Reform Judaism is barely Judaism, but just the fact that a thoroughly assimilated, Torah-twisting lesbian “rabbi” still has enough of a Jewish soul to call herself Jewish & want to participate in Judaism somehow, makes me feel good. Everyone can be saved. A Jewish soul is a Jewish soul.
So? Orthodox spend their time praying for the restoration of the temple instead of blowing up al-aqsa mosque & doing it themselves. Big deal.
