Terrorism: A Venezuelan diplomat is found to be supporting Hezbollah, and his placement on a Treasury no-go list is laughed at in Caracas. Obviously, something's going on here.
For the second time in three months, Venezuela has been implicated in foreign terrorism. The U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control named two well-connected Venezuelans as facilitators of Hezbollah Wednesday. Ghazi Nasr al Din and Fawzi Kan'an, along with two Caracas travel agencies, were put on the list this past week, their assets frozen and businesses prohibited.

Every time I hear about Hugo, I think Hussein Obama.
Hugo is probably happily funding anyone who promises to blow up some of our citizens or make life hard for our govt. Funding Hezbollah would be right up his alley. The really disturbing thing though is that I’m sure many on the left in this country heartily support that, including some in congress.

It’s a damn shame our CIA doesn’t do anything about punks like Hugo. Remember the TV show “Mission Impossible”? Fixing Hugo’s wagon would make a great episode.
Venezuela has a significant Arabic-orgin community and most are very normal people - they’re all over South America, actually, Carlos Menem who got elected President of Argentina in the 1990s, was originally Muslim and his Muslim family had its own winery. But this cast of characters surrounding the Venezuelan government seems like an entirely different breed altogether.
