In the meeting, attendees said McCain promised that, if elected, Congress would pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to see what each candidate has in mind for an immigration bill...............both of them.
Mc Cain I guess will never learn.. just when he gained some support over drilling for oil.. he lets this amnesty stuff out...I am writing in Hunter.. at least I know where he stood..
He’s changed his stance 5 times in as many days on immigration. It’s become clear to me that he’s in 100% pander mode now that Hillary! is out of the race. He almost had me convinced over the last month or so that he’d gotten the message and was going to carry the conservative banner... I should’ve known.
I thought McCain's first priority was for border security! /sarc
WTF is up with Johnny? He’s determined to stick it to all us conservatives for not supporting his immigration crap the first time.Well, the hell with him...
Ping...iffin y’all want to contribute.
First we need a “comprehensive” POVERTY reform bill that prohibits Mexico from importing its poverty into America. I’m getting extremely tired of listening to the ‘RATS whine and cry about “poverty” and the “uninsured” EVERY election season. It’s getting old. If they want to “end poverty,” STOP FN IMPORTING IT!!!!!
THIS WAS REPORTERD HERE ON FREEREPUBLIC YESTERDAY WITH AN EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT~!!!!!!!!!
WAY TO GO FREEPERS~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Mc Cain I guess will never learn.. just when he gained some support over drilling for oil.. he lets this amnesty stuff out...I am writing in Hunter.. at least I know where he stood..”
Right behind ya. Not much other choice. And at least I could sleep that night.
No, MacCain's first duty is to get himself elected. Truth, honor, integrity, your future, my future, our children's and grandchildren's futures be damned.
With MacCain everything is, was and always will be about MacCain. Tell a lie here. Tell a lie there. Say one thing one day. Say something different the next. It really doesn't matter to him what it might cost others so long as it's good for "The John".
Well you could look at it this way....if the gas prices remain high, there won’t be any illegals left here to give amnesty to.
The government we deserve.
(For evolving beyond tar and feathering.)
It may or may not be true, but it is coming from the Baltimore Sun, so I would take it with a grain of salt.
I know there are people here on FR who want to believe the worst about John McCain, but let’s get our facts straight before passing judgment.
Hiring illegals to push your SUV down the road will soon be cheaper than buying gas.
McCain is coming to Cincinnati on Thursday. If at all possible I plan to show up with a large sign. Side 1 will say :
“No Amnesty”, Side 2 “Drill Anwr”.
I feel like I’m living back in the Clinton era again, making protest signs.
WAY TO GO FREEPERS~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
********
Do you have a link?
The Arse! Half are moving back home anyway. What doesn’t McLame understand about “ILLEGAL ALIENS!” Maybe McLAME should be called out to explain why 25% of Our Prison Population is Illegal Aliens!! Tell the Illegals to get Out before We Arrest Them and Outsource Them as Prisoners to Cuba for detention under contract!*
*Note: That is Fidel’s Cuba!, not Club Gitmo:-P
If you show up with your sign,be prepared to get your ass kicked.Johnny will not allow any photos of a sign like that..
Rosanna Pulido in the article is FReeper chicagolady. She was on Lou Dobbs last night.
The Clintons’ didn’t like my signs either but the worst that happens was I got flipped off.
Dont get you hopes up. Comprehensive is code for legalization of imigrants who are already here. Nothing new here folks, move along.
McCain hasn’t changed his position, for a year he’s been saying secure the border, when that’s done we have to pass comprehensive immigration reform. When he’s hispandering he doesn’t mention securing the border, when he’s talking to the rest of us he forgets to mention comprehensive immigration reform. This is nothing new, for him, he says what’s to his advantage at the moment.
McCain is answering to his “masters of the universe”. The same people that made it possible to put a dipstick like him as the GOP candidate.
Global losers, people that need to be kicked to Siberia forever.
So do you think it's any different with the other 2 ?
Not a flip-flop, just another lie.
As Democrats have both houses of Congress, they will pass the immigration/amnesty bills. The question is, if elected president, will McPain veto it or sign it? We hope for the former rather than latter.
You have to be as naive and/or ignorant as Sean Hannity to believe anything McCain says.
SUCKERS!
I don’t look at his ‘flip flop’ as a ‘flip flop’.
I never believe his lies about the border illegals
or any of this campaign trail rhetoric....they’re all
lies (except for what’s said in these secret meetings.)
I am beginning to wonder if the GOP thinks it, long term can “win” the latino vote over social issues/religion. I am not saying that is an accurate assumption, but I wouldn’t put it past the powers that be to think they can eventually win the majority of the latino vote and thus solidify power.
Of course, we already know the dems think that.
What would be interesting is the question of whether the Dems would go along. Obviously, it would have to start in the Congress. I think the conventional wisdom is that the Dems would jump at the chance of extending the right to vote to 12 million Mexican immigrants. But then, I am not so sure. Certainly McCain would be a lame duck on day one. He would not care whether the voters hate his guts in 2012. If the Dems went along for the ride, though, they could be looking at a midterm bloodbath.
But he’s not Obama.....(skip)
not Obama.....(skip) not Obama.....(skip)not Obama.....(skip)
This won't even come up in a debate or for discussion between the candidates because it is a non-issue since both of them agree that there will be wide open borders and an amnesty of illegals and all their relatives who want to join them, with millions of new Democrat voters.
McCain has never changed his mind about amnesty. The only “change” has been one of sequencing, i.e., the border first then amnesty.
Like a lot of Republicans, he is the kind who is great for conservatives when the Democrats are in power, and lousy otherwise.
I know Obama is bad news. I also know there are 100, 1000, 1million more slick talkin', power hungry, life stealing Democrats out there ready, willing and able to replace him.
My concern is that when you smell shit in your house, you should try to find the source and get rid of it before going next door the neighbor's house, and so on.....
I will NOT be voting for McCain. See my Tagline.
However, they (and McCain) " ONLY CHANGED THEIR TUNES, NOT THEIR HEARTS".
If that were the case, why would the GOP be so anxious to toss the "religious right" voters they already have under the bus?
Latinos don't vote on social issues/religion or they wouldn't vote mostly for Democrats. Like most new immigrants, they vote for the socialist who will dole out more goodies to them than the other guy.
Border security and amnesty are not quite the same issue. McCain hasn't flip-flopped. He never said he would stop pushing for amnesty. He stated that border security was important and it is. Where is the contradiction as these two issues apply to McCain?
He didn't promise to round up one single illegal alien and deport him/her, did he?
McCain sponsored the so-called Comprehensive Immigration Act with his buddy, Ted Kennedy, and he has never wavered from his wish to grant amnesty to illegals. At least he has been consistently wrong...
I will be doing the same. Duncan Hunter, the right choice.
lol love the picture hahaha
While I am not a McCain fan .. I did hear him say that he realizes the public wants the borders closed first.
I think our goal should be to make sure that happens .. and force Congress to put through the rest of the garbage in separate legislation .. which will have a harder time passing. We simply cannot allow the SENATE to have a 60-vote margin of democrats.
And .. as long as Bush is president .. there won’t be anything more done because the Bush-haters in Congress will do whatever it takes to keep Bush from having any success in that area.
