Sounds of Silence
The Wall Street Journal: Opinion ^ | June 19, 2008 | Mark Dubowitz

Posted on 06/18/2008 9:00:21 PM PDT by Uncle Ralph

Welcome to a world where criticism of militant Islam could land you in court or worse. In Vancouver, Canada's venerable Maclean's magazine awaits a hate-speech verdict from a human-rights tribunal for publishing a chapter from syndicated columnist Mark Steyn's best-selling book "America Alone." The accusers charge the author and publisher with "Islamophobia."

Last week, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary general of the 57-member Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), warned a gathering in Kuala Lumpur that "mere condemnation or distancing from the acts of the perpetrators of Islamophobia" would not suffice. He recommended that Western countries restrict freedom of expression and demanded that the media stop publishing "hate material" like the Danish cartoons. "It is now high time for concrete actions to stem the rot before it aggravates any further," he said.

Islamic countries already scored a victory on this front back in March. They pushed through a resolution at the U.N. Human Rights Council urging a global ban on the public defamation of religion -- read Islam...

These are examples of a growing campaign to use judicial power to silence critics of militant Islam. In the U.N. Durban Review Conference, scheduled for April 20-24, 2009 in Geneva, it appears that the OIC and its cohorts have identified the perfect platform to further their agenda...

...Only the European Union can now stop this insidious process ... only the threat of a European pullout would deal a true blow to the credibility of the proceedings and deny the partisans of "Islamophobia" the U.N. imprimatur they crave.

Next month, France ascends to the EU presidency. It will be up to Paris to lead the fight for Western freedoms and, for once, put Iran, Libya, and other authoritarian states on the defensive. Let's hope French President Nicolas Sarkozy understands what's at stake.

In the full article, it says:

"On behalf of the OIC, the Pakistani representative to the U.N., Marghoob Saleem Butt said, 'While it [Islamophobia] is expressed in the form of defamation of religion, it takes cover behind the freedom of expression and opinion.'"

I say, "While it [Islamocracy] is expressed in the form of relentlessly creeping tyranny, it takes cover behind the pretense of religion."

At its core from Mad Mo until today, Islam has been and is an insane murder cult.

The rest is window dressing designed to lull its victims into throat-slitting range.

The OIC proves that Islam is diametrically opposed to “freedom” (of speech, assembly, from fear, etc).

Now, let the “moderate” Moslems defend one (the OIC position), or the other, “freedoms”.

Oh, by the way, I’m waiting for the OIC and the UN to condemn the blatant and continuing anti-semitism against Israel and world Judaism that eminates from their govt-sponsored publications, radio, tv, schools, and academia, esp. in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Iran, Sudan, etc.

Mark Steyn’s next book should be an investigation into the suicidal multiculturalism of Canada that has given rise to Canadian Fascism.

So that's where Obama gets 57 for the number of states!

Sarkozy does. France is committed to the EU, and the as yet to be formed Mediterranean Union with mixed Islamic states, and eventual union with the Middle East which has been an institutionalized goal since DeGaulle....he will not stop it. The merger with Islamic states has been a goal all along. Only the US can stop it, and we are half gone with ‘hate crimes’ and speech to follow as the natural successor to PC. Our state dept has gagged itself from using ‘jihad’ etc as many of you know. We make no stand either, and, we will be tested here if we do not fight this as Steyn is in Canada.

A “phobia” is an irrational fear. If a group is determined to cut off my head, I wouldn’t say it’s irrational to be wary of them.

“America Alone” - a very fitting title.

We’re in George Orwell’s 1984 in some ways.

This could spread south of the border from Canada. Don’t we have some “hate crime” laws on the books? It’s an easy transition from that to “hate speech” isn’t it? And then, before you know it, we lose our freedom of speech.

Pat Buchanan pointed this out in his latest article and I haven't stop thinking about the supreme irony of this:

The tyrants could not resist actually giving the tribunal an Orwellian name. The court that put a magazine on trial for a writer's opinion is actually named the Human Rights Tribunal!!!!

“Canada has already announced that it will boycott the conference”

Lets see now: The Canada government intends to boycott the Durban II conference to protest muslim countries’ demands that western nations forbid criticism of Islam “under the cover of free speech”. So, if the Canadian Human Rights Commissions do their jobs, then aren’t Canada’s foreign office personnel in jeopardy of being brought before one of their hate crimes tribunals?

"Islam is a form of theistic Satanism."

Exactumundo.

I will never respect their "religion" or believe in some fantasy of it being a path to God. It is clearly a path to the gates of hell. A careful analysis of their Koran by anyone outside of their cult, clearly demonstrates that "allah" is, in fact, satan.

The best analysis of the Koran, chapter by chapter, that I've ever seen.

Prophet of Doom

Everyone should read this before Obama gets elected and has it removed from cyberspace. It will make you sick, yes, but the truth is the truth, and the truth is, Islam is satan's religion on earth, and has 1.5 billion "bleevers." Read the analysis at that link, then explain how any sane person could believe such detestable doctrine could come from God. As you read, you will begin to see who "allah" really is, especially if you're familiar with the Judeo-Christian bible.

They can cut my head off before I'd ever say anything positive about their satanic bible.

Oh, and muslims can say anything about my God that they want. Since I actually believe he's REAL, I trust him to deal with them in his own way if he so chooses, unlike their impotent God, who needs mere mortals to do all his dirty work for him whenever he's "offended."

I recommend that Muslim countries become more open and free, allowing freedom of expression and religion.

“Conspiracy” laws are of the same warped philosophy as “hate crimes”.

Both are transparent legalisms used to forge a statutory path around the Constitution.

Behind these legalisms is usually a shyster from the American Communist Lawyers Union, supported by the usual suspects.
