Dr. Chalko didn’t get the memo. Since “global warming” stopped about 10 years ago, the religious fanatics who propagate climate doom have changed the name of the problem to “climate change.” Since the climate has never been stable in the history of the world, they’re sure they finally got it right.

They say the Earth retains more heat from sunlight than it can radiate out into space.

Unless the Earth retains heat from sunlight, I believe the planet's temperature would be close to absolute zero and no life would be possible here. The "greenhouse effect" refers to the very mechanism which makes life possible.

Some is a great liar! According to the NASA photos of the South Sea Ice at the South Pole has increased this year (it still is increasing) from 1970 by 1 and 1/2 million square Kilometers. So how are we in a global warming period?

Global Warming, if it existed (and it doesn’t), describes relatively small changes in the temperature of the ATMOSPHERE, not huge developing temperature-differentials in the underground MAGMA.

What a donkey-brain.

Even the UN IPCC (the embodiment of the much-vaunted “scientific consensus”) didn't predict this nonsense. The “IPCC Fourth Assessment Report: Working Group II Report: “Impacts Adaptation and Vulnerability” does not have anything at all to say about climate affecting earthquakes. There is one mention of earthquakes — where they might lead to cooling. The whole report is here.

http://www.ipcc.ch/ipccreports/ar4-wg2.htm

For a quick search look at the index.

These twits are making this up as they go along.

A little known fact is that Bush's birth name was Global Warming Bush. He changed it to George Walker Bush when he first went into politics.

Crazy? Maybe, but have you ever seen a copy of his birth certificate?

Earthquakes are not caused by Global Warming, but the two are closely related. Global Warming is caused by burning huge amounts of oil. Pumping that much oil out of the Earth is causing it to shrink and shrivel up like a prune. As it shrinks, earthquakes happen in ever increasing numbers. Therefore, the number and intensity of earthquakes is a reliable measure of the rate of Global Warming.

Hmmm- Think of where civilization would be if the ancient earthquakes/volcanoes like the one that buried Pompeii and the one that buried the Minoans on Crete (now thought to have been Atlantis) and the great quake of 1906 in S.F., hadn't set progress back so far...and buried all their SUV’s an’ stuff

"In North America the great earthquakes of 1811-1812 occurred near New Madrid, Missouri. The magnitude of the quakes are not known, but they are estimated to have been about 8 on the Richter scale. There were actually three large quakes with aftershocks between and for months after. The quake was so wide-spread it was felt as far away as Boston. "

It actually rang church bells in Boston...but it didn't do much damage near the epicenter as the population was small to non-existant at the time.

I hope the sheeple are smart enough to GOOGLE the HISTORY of quakes and see they have been going on, and as big, ever since the world came into existence... http://www.readinessinfo.com/eqhistory.shtml

The analysis of more than 386,000 earthquakes between 1973 and 2007 recorded on the US Geological Survey database proved that the global annual energy of earthquakes on Earth began increasing very fast since 1990.

Or maybe the USGS has deployed more sensitive seismographs between 1973 and 2007, and adding up the total energy of all the detected earthquakes keeps on increasing, because we are detecting many more small earthquakes today than we could in 1973.

There has been a massive increase in papercuts due to global warming. Toenails grow faster. Tasmanian devils are acting strangely. Polar bears are annoyed. People buy more tacky clothes. Women crave more Splenda. Corns and bunions are off the charts. Ring around the collar is rising. Natives of a coral atoll saw no rise in sea level, but their latrine smelled worse. Two guys in Milwaukee didn’t get their car wax applied during a car wash. Birds crapped on the Mercedes of a Democratic Senator. We expect to see much more of this as the global catastrophe unfolds.

He could be right, except that it’s probably the warming from the inside-out rather than the outside-in doing the damage...

If someone maintained that there’s increased earthquake activity because we’re not relieving tectonic stresses by pumping out enough crude oil from the crust, do you think that would get any attention?

This could be true.

After all we have seen a stunning short term rise in temperatures in the Upper Midwest.

I did some research and found that we have had a astounding 60 degree rise in mean daily temperatures in just the past 5 months.
I used to be a global warming skeptic, but after I put this temperature data together, I am a believer.

We must take action immediately....

It's not the 2000 degree mantle or the tens of thousands of pounds per square inch pressure down there causing all the activity, it's the 1 degree warmer atmosphere that's causing it.
