Cindi Cook had it all planned out.
Her teenage son would graduate from his Hall County high school, go to college, then settle down and start a family.
Then came the pregnancy.
It was spring 2007 and, according to court testimony, Cook had no interest in her 16-year-old son's girlfriend, also 16, having their baby.
Cook "began to pressure until the young lady relented and agreed to have an abortion," DeKalb County solicitor general Robert James said Wednesday.
Displeased that the baby would ruin her son's chances of going to college, Cook "searched for a clinic that did not require a parent to be present, forged the letter of parental acknowledgement and paid for the abortion" on May 12, 2007, James said.
Last week, a judge sentenced Cook, now 44, to a year in jail —- the maximum for a misdemeanor —- for interfering with custody and violating a parental notification law.

The little hussie who took advantage of her "innocent" son, did not have to get the baby killed.
The real criminals here are the woman who allowed her own child to be murdered the father who allowed his own child to be murdered, and those who committed the murder for hire.
The almost grandma is just part of the side show.
From a purely monetary, amoral attitude, she made out.
If the girl had the baby, there would have been at least 18 years of paying expensive child support and perhaps more, for college and such. And it probably would have severely impaired his chances of getting a “nice” girl. That’s hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Now after she gets out of jail, her son has no consequences - except, of course, that which is paid by his own soul.
The girl is 16. I know plenty of women who horribly regret their young abortion choices. They often don’t realize until they are older what they have done.
Just think of how many kids are libs. It’s because they’ve been programed as young kids in lib schools to think this “modern, progressive” way.
Then they get older and real life teaches a few lessons, and they realize they’ve been lied to.
The last part of the brain to develop is the front part which involves judgement. It usually happens in late-teen/early-20 years.

I have no sympathy for this young adult who killed her baby. She is old enough to be married. She is as wicked as her man's mother is.
The 'daddy' should have a chasity belt on his! So should the 'mommy'!

What I am saying is that this Mother took this girl to get something that is still legal!
As long as it is legal she can’t be charged with murder. Only false identify, ie posing as the girl’s mother.

What you are missing, failing to see is that the mother BLAMED the girl for getting pregnant in the first place! This is why she made the girl abort the baby!
Think about it this way....
By making the girl get the Abortion she was telling the girl : “It is your fault you got pregnant, therefore, I will make you kill the baby so YOU will not ruin MY son’s life!”
It is not (entirely) the girls’ fault that she got pregnant! the mother son had a hand (other body part really) in this!

Why not try getting a grip with reality? This woman knew she could get pregnant, the man knew he could get her pregnant, and they did. They could have decided to keep the child, and no one could have forced them to kill the baby.
I do not consider 16 year olds babies themselves. They are old enough to get married.
If I'm sick for holding the actual participants responsible, I think you are beyond insults, you are just pathetic offering excuses for their murder.
