We had our 1st Rain FReep last week and now the first hot and humid FReep/Rally of summer. I began the FReep alone and then my mom-in-law was kind enough to join me. All In The Family (Tree) meaning my mom-in-law and I shared a tree for shade! Sorry, folks - not much to report and no pictures for this week but we were there to Support Our Troops.
We received a good amount of beeps, waves and thumbs up. A lady walked by and said "God Bless You". A guy in a GoArmy.com car stopped to thank us as we thanked him. The routine mailman smiled and waved and one lady on a scooter who regularly passes by beeped. Two muscle cars drove by. The first guy in a Nova just drove by but the guy in the red Chevelle with white stripes beeped. Chevelles are better anyway! Short, sweet and to the point this week.
We will not be out this Saturday (6-14-08) due to prior plans. Also, I will not be able to commit to the FReeps every Saturday. I understand the importance of Supporting Our Troops but for now, the 2nd and last Saturday of each month is all that's possible. Subject to change though.
2ND AND LAST SATURDAY 1-3pm
Please join us if you can. We especially need extra boots on the corner, on the 2nd and last Saturday of each month, when we counter protest the moonbats. The Westminster Gathering/FReep is located on the east side of E. Main Street opposite the library at 50 East Main Street. There is public parking on Winters Street. Follow the signs.
Please ping when you have a chance. Thank you!
DC Chapter ping!
Heading out to WR in a few.
Thank you! Have a good one at WR.
Finding a tree for shade from the sun is survival for summer FREEPS.
Thank you both for all your work and the extreme effort to keep us informed.
Car is partly packed, hurricane shutters on, and a lot of house stuff shut down...finish tomorrow and then see you guys soon.
We do what we can and you Westminster Folks have done more than most.
Hat tip and well done!
Yes, trees save the day for summer FReeps!
You’re welcome and our pleasure to Support Our Troops and keep you informed.
Have a safe trip up and look forward to meeting you soon!
Thank you, JVB. We appreciate that! :)
