Greens Thwart Gasoline Production
Fox News ^ | Thursday, June 12, 2008 | Steven Milloy

Four-plus-dollar gasoline is forcing Americans to realize that we need increased domestic oil production to meet our ever-growing demand for affordable fuel. But even if the greens lose the political battle over drilling offshore and in places like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, they nevertheless are way ahead of the game as they implement a back-up plan to make sure that not a drop of that oil ever eases our gasoline crunch.

The Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council, or NRDC, successfully pressured the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to block ConocoPhillips’ expansion of its Roxana, Ill., gasoline refinery, which processes heavy crude oil from Canada, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

what amazes me about the average driver who is angry about the price of gas,

is that they do not look for the real reasons.

they accept the lame leftist excuses and evil-doing on tv.

It's because BushCo is letting Big Oil gouge us!

I even know Republicans who think it's true.

did you see that graphic posted several weeks ago on fr

that big oil presented to the u.s. congress?

the largest oil producers are not american “big oil”,

but nations, such as saudi arabia, iran, russia, venezuela, etc.

“Something has definetly got to be done with these people.”

We need to send them all to a remote desert island wrapped in heavy chains.

This EPA ruling is so wrong. ConocoPhillips’ expansion of its Roxana, Ill. gasoline refinery would have increased the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel in the upper Midwest. The pipeline to bring Canadian crude down to the refinery is already being built and we would get relief in a few years with this expansion.

The left and the greens (former communists) want to wreck the USA. They are half way to their goal and Obama will finish the deed.

The thing is, there are always a handful of people directly responsible for such decisions and whatnot. Be they lawyers, top of the green orgs or whatever. As soon as the American Public has had enough, the full force of millions of people needs to STOMP these folks.

The Democrat party will never approve drilling because they want to do everything they can to ensure Obama gets elected. No one is going to vote socialist unless they are miserable.

That could make for the first entertaining season of Survivor.
Would ratings go up or down as these vegetarians vote who to eat first, as the wildlife is off limits and all the vegetation is gone?

It was announced today that Exxon is getting out of the retail gasoline business and selling off all their gasoline stations!!!

You posted the perfect picture of old GANG-GREEN himself! I'm voting for Ralph Nader myself, even though I despise the Green Party. But I actually despise Juan McGore even more because as a pseudo Republican "CONservative," he should certainly know better and lead better!!!

Oh! And please take a gander at my new tagline for today!!!

I don’t know who i’ll vote for or if i’ll leave the president spot on the ballot blank but will absolutely not be Hussain or McShame.

It definetly won’t be Nader. In 1956 he was in the PR dept at Ford and when came out and told us we had to slow down in the corners in a Parsons NASCAR Ford to save on tires my partner damn near killed the little prick. Too bad he didn’t.

I think there are now too many MSM spoon fed dolts for that to ever happen. They will blame whoever the MSM tells them too. And demand government “do something”. Which will be raise taxes and consolidate even more power into the hands of the bureaucracies.
