white guilt IS racism. Treating someone better than they deserve because of the color of their skin is almost as bad as treating someone worse because of the color of their skin. Only by judging people by their character (MLK) do people learn how to best adapt to the world.

Not sure about your assertion. I’m currently finishing up Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism”,

and progressive support of fascism was a huge factor in the Great Society and New Deal.

It was more about collectivism and top down control than it was about helping poor minorities.

Since the sobriquet “Uncle Tom” comes from the overly-agreeable black title character in the book “Uncle Tom's Cabin”, maybe it's time for an updated book about a soft little obsequious white liberal metro-man titled “Uncle Tim's Condo”?

You could even make it politically correct by also making him gay, and calling it “Funny-Uncle Tim's Condo”.

Since “Uncle Tom” was the slave who loved those who kept him down—and “Guilty White-Folks” are the people who love a man who wants to shove them down—we can make a correlation.

I will go further and suggest that being a journalist is the equivalent to being an Uncle Tom - always insinuating the worst about your own country.
