McCain (R-AZ) sent a letter saying that if he were there, he would vote for it.

Dole, Martinez & Warner must go. Weren’t Dole & Martinez in charge of the NRSC for a while? No wonder things have gone to heck. I haven’t sent anything to the NRSC or RNC since 2004 and I won’t be sending anything to them for quite awhile, either, so long as nattering nabobs like these three are still around.

I guess I have to think really hard about Dole before November rolls around. A hardy Good Job! to Senator Burr.

This just proves that 57% never read the bill, or do not understand the consequences.

A vote for this bill (scam) is proof-positive that our country has completely turned our backs on God. Just the sheer audacity to think that we can control the climate places us above God.

Also notice that Clinton, Obama, and McCain just couldn’t be bothered to vote... Guess they didn’t want the environment to be a campaign issue?

McCain is such a loser...he could have taken a stand, but chose to not even show up.

>> McCain (R-AZ) sent a letter saying that if he were there, he would vote for it.

Isn’t that special.

Tomorrow, I’m going to call in “there, in spirit” to work.

“I’m not coming in today, but if I did, I’d be in favor of getting a lot of work done!”

In fact I think I’ll do that sixty percent of the time from now on. Just like John McCain did to the people who voted him to the Senate!

Then I’ll ask to be promoted to President.

How do you think it’ll work out for me?

Looks like none of the wonderful candidate senators feel like going to work for the money they are being paid.

Well, we know McCain, Obama, and Hillary would have voted yes, if they weren’t cowards.

I guess they didn’t want the notion of higher gas prices getting out before the election. They are waiting until the election is over with to break the backs of US citizens.

Still, he's better than Franken and the only other one running for the MN Senate seat that is worth a damn.

I noticed Richard Lugar voted “nay”. That is unusual. He must be catching wind that the voters here want him out. I don’t think he is up for for another term again until 2010.

She is the Republican nominee for Senate here in NC but the polls have it as a close race against Hagan her Dem challenger. My bet is she is trying to run to the center because she is worried about November.

Add me to the list. / Remove me from the list.

I note with dismay that neither of our Senators voted.

Pandsey Grahamnesty I can understand; he's wasting our tax dollars running all over the country servicing McPain.

DeMint is a mystery.

FWIW, I emailed both asking for an explanation.

I'm not really sure to be honest. She seems conservative on everything else I can think of at the moment. She has supported lower taxes, the war and voted against amnesty in the past. I am not sure why she is "going wobbly" on climate. Maybe she thinks it is ok since the Republican Nominee says it is, the media has convinced her that "everyone" believes in this crap or she knew it would not pass so she tried to use it to shore up her moderate cred with the indies. Either way I think I am going to have to watch her more closely in the future.

To answer your second question, NC has not voted for a Dem for Pres since 1976 so I think there are still enough of us here :)

Ditto for mine from TN. We all need to phone and e-mail these courageous senators, congratulate them on their votes, let them know what a pile of stinking caca the whole AGW thing is, and promise them our continued support. In spite of McCain, we can turn this thing into another amnesty for illegal aliens fiasco.

Yeah, I'm disgusted by his purchase into this scam. I've signed some petitions and wrote some emails with some facts about global warming/climate change, and of course, no answer back. I hate being ignored. Maybe he received enough emails to figure that he should probably stay out of it, but that's damned cowardly! I want a better senator than him! He also bent on the shamnesty crap.
