On the heels of Thursady night's meeting between Democratic rivals Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, talks of a dream ticket continue. But with the choice of vice president still up in the air, local lawmakers have not ruled out a possible Kansas vice president.

State Representative Raj Goyle believes that Sebelius would be a perfect choice for Senator Obama...

Will Obama pick a female as his VP to shamelessly pander to Hillary voters? Will it be Sebelius, or another female Dem governor?

Freepers have already been speculating about this as a possibility. She’s a woman, somehow she persuades people to vote for her, and she’s a total moonbat.

Exactly what Obama wants and needs. Two of the country’s biggest moonbats for the price of one.

I live in KS, and she’s an idiot. Far-left, import from OH, where her daddy was a big-time RAT, and she’s on the payroll of the tree-huggers and the abortion lobby, especially Tiller, the late-term abortionist. The leftie media here (the newspapers) love her.

From what I've seen, she's not much more than a DNC talking points puppet, regardless of the facts.

So, maybe she is running for VP or some appointed position in a Dem administration.

A far left idiot but she managed to get reelected with 58% of the vote. What were people thinking?

No one would dare bring this up in the campaign but it would be a fair issue. She doesn’t care if many babies get aborted but she is against the death penalty. So she would rather see babies die than those animals who committed those vicious carjacking/rapes/murders in Wichita in Dec. 2000. That sums up her “moderate” views right there.

I would like to see her run with Obama though since it would make 2 consecutive elections in which the Demo VP candidate lost their own state.

I suspect you are right that Hillary’s supporters would be angry because it would definitely dethrone Hillary as the most prominent national female Democrat candidate. And as it is said, “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”. Even though I don’t really believe Hillary wants the #2 job. She wants Obama to fail and fail badly.

I agree completely. It would be more likely to just further enrage Hillary’s supporters if he makes such a transparent attempt to pander to them.

He’s going to have a hard time finding a good VP for one simple reason: a well-qualified VP will accentuate his own weaknesses. He can’t pick someone that’s a *better* candidate than he is. In the end, it’ll have to be someone with a lightweight resume of their own.

My best guess: John Edwards.

How did she get elected in Kaw-country? What I've heard about her is exactly what you say - a far-left liberal who talks a lot about “ending the partisanship”, which I guess to her means - all you libertarian and conservatives out there - just sit down and shut up!

Good bet . I think that will depend on whether obambi finds the truth about why Clark was relieved from NATO . I could easily be mistaken but I think it was Hugh Shelton who said it was an issue of integrity and character .

Much as I despise political pandering, I think it would be interesting if McCain picked a black running-mate—not a gimmicky “token negro” as the Democrats have chosen, but someone with real governing ability, and a conservative to boot. Take 25 percent of the black vote away from the Dems, and they have nothing left.

How? She had the good fortune, and Kansas the misfortune, that when she ran, the KS GOP had just created a fiscal crisis by cutting taxes at the top of the business cycle, when the cut would have no stimulus effect, and in an environment where the already lean (thanks to years of GOP rule) couldn’t have any compensating buget cuts squeezed out (well, none that were politically feasible—we could lenghthen the cycle on which we repave our roads in Kansas by blacktopping over concrete one more time before taking them down to bare dirt and starting over).

During the downturn that followed, there was complete chaos in the state government, with budget cuts that hurt services and disaffected all state employees.

Obama knows he’s a sissy so he’s not going to put a woman on the ticket-and definitely not one without any foreign policy or military experience. If he picked Sebulius (sp), he’d likely get 20% of the popular vote.

Top of my head, she’s an ardent defender of third-trimester abortionist George Tiller (”the Killer”), recently vetoed legislation designed to help the state enforce its own nominal laws restricting abortion of babies past 5 months + one week (21 weeks).

Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City recently grew a pair and told nominal-Catholic Sibelius she should not received the Blessed Sacrament unless she repents acting as accomplice in late-term abortions, confesses, issues a public apology and a promise to undo the damage done by her veto of the baby-protecting legislation.

Sibelius, however, does not give a damn.

He doesn't need a female VP to pander to Hillary voters. He just needs to remind them what happens to Roe v. Wade if McCain picks Supreme Court justices.

Also info on Sebelius can be found on Operation Rescue’s site. They are focused on the Tiller abortionist but you can's say “Tiller” without saying “Sebelius”.

If Obama wins I would not be surprised at all if the U.S. Catholic leadership is told, quietly of course, that if they keep injecting the church into politics they may see their tax exempt status go bye-bye.
