It's Time for Another Obama Race Speech
The Wall Street Journal ^ | June 6, 2008 | Juan Williams

Posted on 06/06/2008 7:34:47 AM PDT by chickadee

Now what? How does Barack Obama, fresh from claiming the Democratic nomination, put Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Pfleger behind him, before they ignite yet again and blow up his general election campaign?

How does he pre-empt advertising images, sure to be circulated by his opponents, that link him to outrageous racial rhetoric and fears that he is open to the most radical left-wing ideas – including using the power of the White House to exact racial vengeance?

----snip----

To deal with this controversy effectively, Mr. Obama needs to give another speech. This time he has to admit to sins of using race for political expediency – by knowingly buying into divisive, mean messages being delivered from the pulpit. He has to say that, as a biracial young man with no community roots, attaching himself to Rev. Wright and the Trinity congregation was a shortcut to move up the ladder in the Chicago political scene.

Oh, yeah, a politician . . . and a lefty one, at that . . . confessing that he was just using someone/something to get ahead politically; yeah, that could happen. Right?

"I have sinned. I have erred. I confess."

"Now that I've gotten the nomination, will you forgive me?"

How can Obama give another speech on race??? That speech was widely hailed as the greatest speech ever. The most important speech on race since MLK’s “I had a Dream” speech. The final word on race which will bring together all races once and for all. What could Obama say that would possibly add to that???

If the voters are truly that stupid . . . then they deserve the Big O as their President.

Juan is a test crash dummy, and always will be. Just ask Brit who regularly bit*h slaps him simple. He also was/is a Hillary supporter, for whatever reason? Because her husband was the “first Black president”? Talk about a sell-out. He does speak well of Clarence Thomas, and often espouses the Bill Cosby line of individual responsibility, but otherwise he is a fool.

BTW there is a 527 ad running with Bubba, George Steponallofus making fun of how unqualified Boma is. Devastating!

IMHO, he’s a Race Denier; his Mother is a ‘Typical White Woman’ from Kansas, fer Pete’s Sake.

I’d like to see that covered by the media and have them explain why the half of him that’s black is more holy than the half of him that’s white.

And as you said, “Yeah, that could happen. Right?” LOL!

Here’s all any Conservative needs to know about Barrack Hussein Obama:

Special Interest Group Ratings:

Planned Parenthood - 100% Support
National Right To Life - 0% Support
NARAL - 100% Support
Americans for Tax Reform - 0% Support
ACLU - 83% Support
NEA - 100% Support
NOW Hags - 100% Support
Citizens Against Government Waste - 13% Support
Gun Owners of America - 0% Support
NRA - “F” Rating
Federation for American Immigration Reform - 0% Support
US Border Patrol - 8% Support
Unions - 82% - 100% Support
Population Connection - 100% Support (These are the ‘Zero Growth’ freaks)

[Barrack Hussein Obama’s record in the Illinois senate:]

- Opposed the Defense of Marriage Act; would work to repeal it in the U.S. Senate; would not vote for any legislation that would restrict the ability of gays and lesbians to marry.
- Opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act four times in Illinois. A similar bill passed the U.S. Senate 98-0. The Born Alive bill would have prohibited a baby from being born alive but left to die according to the mother’s wishes. Obama inexplicably opposed this bill not once, twice, or three times, but four times.
- Obama took almost $90,000 in bundled contributions from the Council for a Livable World. The council is a well-known anti-defense organization.
- Obama puts rigid ideology before what’s best for the people of Illinois, and presumably he would do that as President as well. He has on several occasions made public his opposition to the NAFTA trade agreement and his belief that it must be negotiated. All the while thanks to NAFTA, Illinois exports $1.3 billion in agricultural goods to Canada.
- Obama refused to vote for a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have increased penalties for drug traffickers.
- Obama voted against a bill that would have delivered the death penalty to gang members who murder first responders.
- Finally, just in case you thought it couldn’t get any worse, Obama was the only member of the Illinois State Senate to vote against a bill that prohibited early release for sexual predators.

Can’t kill the innocent fast enough, can’t free the guilty soon enough!

Juan Williams is in town today for an appearance and called in to the local morning talk show. As he so aptly put it: it’s difficult to be the post-racial candidate when you are playing racial politics all the time.

But, for Obama to come right out and admit that he was a being cynically opportunistic by joining TUCC - well, large porcine mammals will become airborne first.

I think that Juan Williams is deserving of respect. He is mainly a lefty, but has the courage to speak up/out on important issues. We all know how vicious the far left can be to minority folks who don’t toe their line.

He’s been fooled by all the people in his life, but we’re supposed to believe that he will not be taken in by the likes of Putin, Kim Jong Il and Ahmadinejad?
