Just yesterday, the media and Democrat-ick officials and Obama campaign staff were claiming that Barry Obama would draw between 25,000 and 50,000 to his "Old-Time Traveling Medicine Show" at the Nissan Pavillion in PWC today where he would hawk his modern day snake oil remedies. The Pavillion holds 25,000 for concerts and it was expected that nearly double that number would show up in a sea of humanity stretching far beyond the gates.
Now, the WashPo is reporting that only about 10,000 people showed up, which given their propensity for fuzzy math favoring Democrats, means there were probably more on the order of about 7,500 to 8,000 people there. Even if they did reach 10,000, the place would have been more than half empty and only 1/5 the size of the crowd they had hoped for.
Barry, meet reality. Welcome to Prince William County.
UPDATE: Bearing Drift is calling this event a "bust" for Obama.

All this talk of Obama swinging VA is missing one point, Tidwater. Kerry beat Bush 65-35 in Nolfolk VA, Obama will not beat McCain by that Margin, 57-43% will be my guess.

The MSM only reported on the BIG crowds during the concerts and special appearances by celebrities to create the illusion of popularity and NEVER reported the small turnouts because it didn't fit into the MSM/Obama agenda.

I'm not sure Obama will beat McCain in Tidewater at all. The Tidewater area is heavily military, and heavily Navy. This is the Tidewater's bread and butter, and Obama's comments on reducing the military would directly, negatively, effect *their* pocketbooks...

I was talking about Norfolk Country, not all of tidewater. Tidewater as a whole will go to McCain.
Way I see it, as well... I have a connection there, as my parents settled there after my late father's retirement from the USCG. Most of my immedate family live in that area...

Well, I suppose it *MIGHT* have to do with the fact that as I live a scant 5 miles from Nissan, my neighbors and I cleaned our guns (to keep to libs off the lawns), posted “obama sucks” signs in our yards, and burned some washington posts to ward off evil spirits...
I guess the loaves and fishes for the multitudes went to waste. What a shame.
There is always a “ROCK CONCERT”, without a “ROCK CONCERT” the kids won’t congregate to listen to the “ROCK Music” (for free) while passing the joint.
If people don’t have sense enough to get this and keep believing the LAMESTREAM MEDIA, then this country is “DOOMED”.

If obama showed up here, I could maybe get my dog to show up, probably not my cat and all the chipmunks I could live-trap in a day. That would bring attendance up to a dozen or so. If the obama medicine show was at the lakefront, a few floating dead fish might pad the numbers some. But add in black flys and mosquitoes and now we’re talking millions.
God pret’ sure doesn’t attend Obamasama events. That does not mean he approves of the man.
