The west needs a more comprehensive strategy to counter al-Qaeda propaganda and the US should stop using the term “war on terror”, according to a top intelligence official.

Charles Allen, the senior intelligence official at the Department of Homeland Security, says the phrase is counter-productive because it creates “animus” in Islamic countries.

If they cease the 'terror' part then we can stop the 'war on' part.

Thanks for posting this.

I’m 100% in favor of anything that creates “animus” in Muslim countries.

One of these days, but only after a lot of blood has been spilled in this country, people are gonna wake up and realize these Muslim goons need to be gone. They will never, ever quit attacking us.

Idiot! I want to create animus in islamic countries. I want them to fear us! I want their leaders unable to sleep at night worrying that SEAL teams or Special Ops forces are gonna come visit them! I think it's going to come to the extinction of islam to get this resolved. We may not have noticed but they've been fighting this war for fourteen hundred years. Now they want WMDs. Whole new ball game.

Political correctness must rule even if it destroys us. I guess the name of this medal will have to be changed so as to not offend anyone;

“Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal”

How about just “war on Islam”? They call us Crusaders anyway, might as well give’em their money’s worth.

Hell, in France it’s illegal to even criticize the muzz. Just ask Brigette Bardot.

Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

The Government intellectual knows in which direction his memories must be altered; he therefore knows that he is playing tricks with reality; but by the exercise of doublethink he also satisfies himself that reality is not violated.

The process has to be conscious, or it would not be carried out with sufficient precision, but it also has to be unconscious, or it would bring with it a feeling of falsity and hence of guilt.

There’s the winner.

Let’s call it the 1st 21st century crusade.

More to follow if you bastards don’t give up your requirement for world conquest.

“Doublethink”

“According to the novel, doublethink is:

“ The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them . . . . To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.[1]”

If we can't even define who is our enemy and what we are fighting against - much less what our goals are - how can we possibly win this war?

Answer: we can't...

Poltical Correctness will be the death of us all.

I agree. The War on Terror is a meaningless phrase. It should be the War on Islam.

Charles Allen, the senior intelligence official at the Department of Homeland Security ...

Yeah, right, my bet is this guy has a degree in some obscure liberal arts discipline not remotely related to law enforcement. Can't get a job in the real world and ends up at the Department of Homeland Security. CIA types can relate to this ...

You are not correct. The radical minority declared war on us and the vast majority of Islam is not involved.

We don't want to alienate all of the moderate peace-loving islamofascists out there.

Uh, kidding, of course.

Yes, I'm with you. Thats what it is, so why not call it by its name?
