More than 900 illegal aliens have been sent packing after a three-week U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation in California.

Half of the criminal aliens and fugitives arrested during the statewide sting have already been sent to their home countries. Since a large number of the illegals have faced previous deportation, immigration authorities immediately ousted them from the U.S.

The rest remain in police custody, awaiting travel arrangements for deportation or hearings before an immigration judge.

Brian DeMore, acting field officer director for ICE detention and removal operations in Los Angeles, issued a press release about his team's success.

"ICE is committed to protecting the integrity to this country's immigration system and that means ensuring that the removal orders handed down by the nation's immigration courts are carried out," he said. "As a country, we welcome law-abiding immigrants, but foreign nationals who violate our laws and commit crimes in our communities should be on notice that ICE is going to use all of the tools at its disposal to find you and send you home."

We’ve had some ICE roundups over the past few months in Trenton and Highstown (central New Jersey), at a level not seen in years. Now the STATE (yes, blue New Jersey) is going after the Elizabeth public school system for having illegal aliens on the payroll.

Nine-hundred is decent for three weeks, but there are tens of thousands of gang-banger illegals in L.A. and other major cities right now--in plain view to everyone but law enforcement, it seems. We're not talking about your garden variety migrants here (no pun intended!).

My hope is that ICE keeps this up, but I kind of doubt it at present.

In Austin, Texas, illegals used to congregate at a certain Home Depot, but recently Home Depot security started giving trespassing warnings to those who tried to pick them up, and of course when you remove the ability to get jobs, they disappear. But they didn’t go far. They still hang out at nearby gas stations.

I get the impression that Home Depot does not have a corporate policy about this, but I can’t see what is happening at Home Depots in other cities.

I had a friend who was an ICE agent. They would serve warrants to pick up criminal aliens, but weren't allowed to roll up the rest of the family.

The problem is with the court system that allows illegals to stay and politicians pandering to the illegal population while trying to get hispanic votes. In a lot of areas ICE spends its time chasing alien drug smuggling/distribution operations as well.

I got to know Hank the owner over a period of a few years when I was down there building Power lines in the early-mid '80s... The original Saddlerack was in the old Sears building... and built on the Gilly's theme.

 To reeeeeeeeeeeely “clean house” and “take out the trash” in America, it is going to take Martial Law.  I understand why you would say this, but I don't believe for a moment that we have done everything that we could do legally to end these gangs.  I note than when an officer was killed on the East side of San Fernando Valley, RICO laws were used to take down almost every member of the gang the perps were members of.  If this can be done there, it can be done everywhere.  Why isn't it done everywhere?  Are we serious about putting these gangs out of business or not.  The answer is fairly obvious.

It really goes beyond law enforcement also.  We have the entertainment industry making millions of dollars by glorifying the gang lifestyle.  MTV has been pumping out Gangsta rap since the late 1980s.  The problem was so pronounced that White kids were using makeup that was suited for young Black women.  On White kids it looked atrocious.  The White kids picked up the Gangsta clothing line.  There were all these kids from middle class families adopting the gangsta motife.  And as wierd as it is to say this, we have basically blamed the gangs for this, and not the entertainment industry to pushed this stuff off on our kids.

Look tough!  Develop power.  Place other kids into submissive positions.  You'll be a God.  Thanks entertainment industry.  Where would we be without you?

There must be at least 3 million illegals in CA alone.  I wouldn't argue with that figure at all.  It may be considerably larger.  And this has been an impact on gangs as well.  The enforcers can do their dirty work and exit the nation.  The worst gangs have been those who have used foreign nationals in their efforts.

Either we are at war or we aren't!  I agree.  And frankly, our leaders haven't taken some parts of the War on Terrorism serious at all.  If folks are honest with themselves they'll admit this.  Anyone here think we have declared war on Hamas, Hezballah or MS-13?  LOL, I would hope not.

Would we have allowed Russian spies, disinformation specialists, and underground organizers to infiltrate our nation during the Cold War?  Absolutely not!  Look what we allow today.

If we were to investigate the A.N.S.W.E.R. organization alone, I am convinced we would find ties to Muslim extremist groups around the world.  They have had speakers from violent South American and Philipene causes speak at their rallies.  These were terrorist organizations.  Did our security agencies take notice?  Did we take people down?

I tell you that any nation which is this cavalier about sane security measures, will fall, not if but when.
