A middle school health teacher is under investigation, accused of teaching too much about sex.
Parents say the teacher is saying crude and explicit things that don't belong in the classroom. Dewayne Smith says, "These are our children, and we're not going to breach the firewall of innocence."
Parents say sex education went too far inside the classroom full of 8th-graders at Fort Herriman Middle School. Suzanne Johnson told us, "She explained how the teacher talked about masturbation. Girl masturbation, boys, the wrong ways … the right ways to have sex, the wrong ways to have sex. How long to make it last. I mean, disgusting."
"What bothered me is that, not only did we get into discussions of masturbatory activity, but we got into explicit descriptions of homosexual acts," Smith said.
Parents say the teacher also showed students fliers with explicit cartoon images.
Seventh-grader Marissa Poloei had a friend in the class. She told us, "He thought it was gross and stuff, and she showed a lot of pictures of stuff."
A spokesperson for the Jordan School District would not comment on the allegations but said there is an investigation. The teacher has been put on administrative leave, but parents don't think that's enough.
Johnson says, "We want her fired. We want her never to teach ever again."
Some of the parents plan to meet with administrators at the school tomorrow. They've invited Rep. Carl Wimmer to attend.
Again, the district said it cannot comment on personnel issues. We were not able to contact the teacher for her side of the story.
At least she didn’t have sex with one of the students right there in front of the class....that will be the next “big thing”.....in the “changed Amerika” of Hillarybama land...

That being said, while I doubt the teacher said anything in class that isn't discussed more explicitly on the playground, or displayed more explicitly in junk e-mails that the students get, it was over the imaginary line that people have drawn. But these courses need to be shut down; all it is, in the end, is an adult authority figure saying ‘Yes, it's alright to experiment sexually’ rather than the far more useful ‘abstinence is what you should do.’

Boy, when I went to school, sex ed was the teacher having us watch the neighborhood dogs. Times have sure changed.

Indeed. Sex is great, and ordained by God, with specific purposes. But, anything not completely within God's order, is sin! It simply misses the mark!
And I hate when they hide behind this facade. Sorry, but you answer to us as taxpayers and we have every right to review and reprimand any of our employees.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — if I walked up to a group of middle school students and started talking about masturbation and showing them dirty pictures, the cops would be called, and rightly so.
Call the police and swear out a warrant for these pervs! Teachers are not exempt from the law. Do they have the Pedo Bear Seal of Approval or something?

This incident occurred in suburban **Utah**. In terms of family values there is nowhere else to go. Jordon, Utah, is the end of the road, folks.
This school is in area with "good" schools! Almost all these government schools outrages are in so-called "good" schools.
Yet,... there are government school defenders throughout this nation ( some on this board) who will **insist** that their child's school is completely free of depravity, sexual and physical abuse from staff and students, academic decline, crime, violence, anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and overall anti-Judeo Christian ethics.
Parents are in denial, are totally clueless, desperate, or completely addicted to the free babysitting. Hey! One poster on this board insists that her child's school allows a Christian Christmas carol or two every year.
By the way, I bet the teacher is a University of Utah grad. (a hot bed of Marxist activity and vitriolic anti-Mormonism.) I also bet she is a lesbian. ( Homosexusals are quickly moving into our government K-12 schools and will soon dominate all aspects of K-12 curriculum, school policies, and hiring.)
I tend to follow Utah news. My husband and I like skiing and mountain biking there. I suppose I should add today's story to my other Utah school stories. A few years ago, the football team in the **rural** and highly Mormon town of Tooele had group sex with a female classmate. Recently, a teacher was fired for molesting his students in a town near Jordon where today's incident happened.
