Pakistani-Indian beauty wooed by anti-Muslim MP

WASHINGTON: Huma Abedin (32), born to a Pakistani mother, an Indian father and raised in Saudi Arabia, is not only a Vogue model and a close aide to Hillary Clinton, but is also someone who is being courted by a New York congressman known for his anti-Muslim views.
Jewish Congressman Raymond Wiener, Huma’s great admirer, is likely to run as mayor of New York next year. He has said that he is romancing Huma, known as Clinton’s glamorous “body woman.”
Asked by Associated Press about all the time he is spending on the road campaigning for Clinton, the 43-year-old bachelor said, “It’s largely because I’m dating Huma.”
In a New York tabloid profile last year, Huma was called “a sort of mythical figure” who never has a hair out of place or a wrinkle in her Prada suit and who can hush a crowd of rambunctious reporters with a single look. “I think there’s some dispute as to whether Huma’s actually human or not,” an admiring Weiner said then. Huma was an intern at First Lady Hillary Clinton’s office in 1996 and has since become her “indispensable right hand,” whose side she rarely leaves. There have also been rumours about the nature of the relationship between the two women.
Being in one issue of Vogue does not make a model make, or something like that.
