ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) - Former White House press secretary Tony Snow, diagnosed with cancer three years ago, canceled a speaking appearance at Ohio's Ashland University because of an unspecified illness, the university announced Wednesday.

Freepers make me laugh so hard and I get a big kick out of giving others a chuckle. So it always meant a lot on the live thread when Tony would take the time during his show to give us an “LOL” (like when I said we were going to fight the Laura Ingram fans by the bike racks after the show) or chat about old timey Saturday Night Live with us. I still get silly giggly when I think about the time he said my screen name on the air. LOL I’m easily entertained.

Tony is “good people” and I feel blessed to know him, even if only in a virtual way.
