Here are the enlistment records of Charles W. Payne, brother of Madelyn Payne, great uncle of Obama:

His grandmother was from Augusta Kansas, so that has been my bet all along in this. I think they got middle initial wrong in genealogy. Someone in Kansas needs to go to county clerks office in county which Augusta is in and check this out. If his great uncle is actually Charles W payne, then Obama is certainly lying, and the burden of proof will be on him to provide some sort of evidence that his great uncle served in Army rather than the Navy as it appears now.
or if he claims that his uncle liberated the Hanoi Hilton and was the first one to shake John McCain's hand upon being freed, that would be really interesting....
I’ve long detected a phenomenon among liberals, that their utter ignorance of real history allows them to MAKE UP a history that suits them.
Works OK at cocktail parties, since none of their circles of aquaintance can correct them, being just as ignorant. The Clintons and now Obama have taken this into the national media.

I have already sent the info to Drudge, lets see if he uses it or continues to cover for the messiah. Sent him Obama geneaology info showing great uncle as Charles ‘W’ Payne and Kansas WWII vets info showing only Charles W’ Paynes served in Navy. Only Charles ‘E’ Payne served in Army.
Well, that’s exactly why Barry has him living in an attic for months after his return. He can always say that if it wasn’t true, then his crazy uncle must have lied, and then Barry’s off the hook.

OK, when we last left our hero, his unclegreat-uncle had liberated AuschwitzBuchenwald while in the army. Or did he?
His only Great Uncle is Charles W. Payne. It at least appears that no one by that name from Kansas served in the Army during WWII.

What Obama’s campaign released via first link above states he served in the Infantry. I assume it’s possible the records are wrong, or he changed branches. But I’m unaware of that as a standard practice. Perhaps it happened during WWII for manpower reasons? Otherwise, Obama’s Great Uncle would seem to have done most of his marching and liberating while at sea.
Hey, maybe the story is fake, but accurate.
You know, if I were an Obama staffer, I’d start fact checking everything he says, to try to stay ahead of the blogosphere. If this turns out to be true, that press release that the campaign put out yesterday is going to be pretty embarrassing.

There’s no “Charles W. Payne” listed as having served in the 89th Infantry Division. The closest it comes is a Pfc “C. T. Payne,” which even if it’s a Charles, has the wrong middle initial.
I think that yesterday’s press release has to be considered non-operative at this point.

And the combat vet is cast in the eternal role that the Liberals have created for him: the crazy uncle in the attic. Just wait until Barack discovers another uncle whose wartime experiences drove him to drink and living in the street when he isn’t shooting up a beer hall on Saturday nights.
Yes, that’s what bothers me about this story, even if it’s true. As is usually the case with Democrats, they seem unable to talk about the military without slandering them or making them out to be victims.

Here's a pic of the submarine Barry's uncle was on, climbing the rocks during the invasion of Germany. Eventually this submarine made it all the way to Auschwitz, where then Barry's uncle jumped out and helped free the imprisoned Jews.

Could it be that his Navy uncle was a medic serving with the Marines and thusly could have been in Europe?
One way or the other, he has an “out”. He can simply say, “Well, it was a family story. That’s what I was always told. If it’s inaccurate then the family lied to me.”

Personally, I think his great uncle was the 1996 sniper in Bosnia, shooting at Hillary.
Wait’ll his lies that he is pro-American or pushing an agenda (Marxism) that America “agrees” with are exposed to voters.

Barack Hussein Obama made a public claim on reflected WWII military glory as part of his political campaign. Credible doubts have been voiced. It is now Obama's responsibility to prove his claim.
If Obama does not prove his claim in a timely fashion, which means right now, then he is a liar. Just like Hillary Clinton. Just like John Kerry.
These people have no honor. It is time to treat them as the dishonorable scum they are.

Either that, or he apparently lied. There are two Charles W. Paynes in WWII from Kansas. Both served in the Navy.
One small step for Chuck Payne, one giant leap in Hussein Obama's web of lies.
I thought he would have used that line yesterday but he dug the hole a little deeper by adding to the “story”.
Whatever nonsense he spews forth as an explanation will be gladly accepted by his fawning media.
