On May 27, Louisiana Representative Ernest Wooton recalled House Bill 199 to be heard on Wednesday, June 4. This bill would allow students (faculty, staff) who have the proper state-issued credentials to carry concealed weapons onto public Louisiana colleges.
I need EVERY Louisiana freeper to please get on board with this. The first thing to do is very, very easy.
Tell me the names of your area newspapers, and either include e-mail addresses or the website or something so I can get hold of them. If any of you have inside tracks or contacts, or even if you'd prefer to publish letters yourself, by all means, I'd invite you to do so. Please contact me if you need any pointers. (Ha! You're Freepers!)
Second, please pass along information about radio shows you listen to. Be they conservative or liberal, I don't care. I just need to know about radio stations down there, whether or not there's any conservative hosts to hone in on, etc.
Last, please, please, please call your representatives and tell them you support this bill. Call your friends and tell them to support this bill. Call your friends' friends. Call your radio station. You think one call doesn't help? I've been inside that legislative process just a little bit, folks. Believe me, it helps.
We're going to try to blitz for this bill, and I'm going to write as many letters and do as many appearances down there as I can, but I'll need your help. You all down there can help set a precedent for expanding concealed carry liberties across the nation, my friends.
You can e-mail me if you want, or freepmail me or post the info on this page.
