There is a theory backed up with some archeological evidence that Europeans crossed the North Atlantic during the last ice age. Some of the Aboriginal people in Northern Quebec/Ontario have very light skin and hair, so IMHO, it’s quite possible these people may have made it to what is now the Nantucket area.
