Clinton may take delegate fight to convention
Breitbart ^ | May 21, 2008 | BRENDAN FARRINGTON

Posted on 05/21/2008 2:46:52 PM PDT by COUNTrecount

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Hillary Rodham Clinton says she is willing to take her fight to seat Florida and Michigan delegates to the convention if the two states want to go that far. In an interview with The Associated Press, Clinton was asked whether she would support the states if they continue the fight. The presidential candidate said Wednesday, "Yes I will. I will, because I feel very strongly about this."

Clinton is calling for delegates from both states to be seated at the convention based on the primaries. Both states were stripped of their delegates because they voted early, violating national party rules. Clinton won both states; Barack Obama's name wasn't on the Michigan ballot.

The DNC's rules committee will hear an appeal on May 31.

By convention time she'll be almost 50 million dollars in debt and may become personally liable for a good portion of that. She must know someting that the rest of us don't.

And where will Hitlery get $50M ?? Selling more national security secrets? Going abroad and making anti-American hate speeches like Billy and Al? Or maybe selling FBI files....

Doesn't matter whether she does or not.

This is her only shot. She and Bill are worth 100 mil and they can pay off the debt and still have plenty left over. She's willing to try for an inside straight, namely that Obama gets drilled by a major scandal before Denver.

Barack Obama's name wasn't on the Michigan ballot.

I believe it was his choice to leave his name off the ballot.

Lessee, firts she was going to stay until the last primary, THEN bow out.

Now she’s going to take her fight to the convention.

I’m still waiting for her to ever say something we can believe.

I can’t imagine much of that “debt” will ever be repaid. It is mostly consultants and staff that are owed money and won’t see it, plus the money she/he loaned to her campaign.

What will be interesting will be Bill Clinton’s diminishing earnings power once its clear their reign is over. Can’t imagine Ron Burkle paying him $20 million for “consulting” after her run is done.

This is all so depressing. Depressing that I can’t get any pleasure out of watching Hillary slowly drown.

We’ve got McCain so no matter how bad it is for the Clinton’s, they’ll have the last laugh on us. We’ve got McCain.

It’s all so depressing.

Do the people in Florida and Michigan really believe that she would be fighting for their votes to count if she were in the lead in delegates and popular vote ?

Her sincerity is clear as glass...... she would be kicking dirt on the same crop of idiots she now keeps a lip lock on.

Aside the FL/MI voters stupid enough to vote for her can write her in during the general election if they are stuck on stupid can’t they ?

But Hillary won’t have a majority of delegates heading to the convention. Why would it follow, if there is some more scandal coming up with Obama, that Hillary becomes the default nominee? Because she would be the last man standing? This primary season has shown that lotsa Dems. don’t love the Clintons.

If some scandal happened with Obama, it’s possible other candidates might be nominated at the convention. It’s possible that if enough Obama delegates don’t vote for Hillary, that nobody gets a majority on the 1st ballot. Then anything could happen after that.

“I believe it was his choice to leave his name off the ballot.”

ALL the Dem candidates except Hillary1 took their names off the MI ballot to honor the DNC rule about pre-Super Tuesday primaries. As I recall ‘none of the above” nearly tied her, running unopposed.

The fact remains, rules are rules, and not changed after the game is played. Well, at least for most of us whose name isn’t Clinton.

Even if Obama gets the nomination, I still bet Hillary will be running some way and be on the ballots somehow. She wants to plant her feet firmly on the WH lawn. There is something that is just more important going on than getting the nomination for her and Bill, something sinister we can’t even know. Obviously, they have unfinished business in the WH and will do anything to get back in there, even if it means crawling in the back door. There must be some promises they made, or deals they cooked up that have to be honored, or most likely cover-ups they have to handle that might come to light unless they are in charge. Or, it could be that they just didn’t take enough silverware when they left, LOL.

You are exactly right, Mrs. Clinton, wife of the impeached ex president was the only candidate to allow her name to be on the ballots.. even John Edwards who placed second in Iowa was not on the ballot.. she liked the rules and did not need Michigan or Florida when she thought she was a shoo in, but now she finds she needs them.. and wants to change the rules she agreed to... after the game is played

I think Hillary has “loaded” the deck, i.e., having some delegates SAY they are for Obama...but will switch BACK to her at the convention.

If I were still a Democrat (which by the grace of God I no longer am) I’d be very concerned with B. Hussein Obama’s 30% showing in KY and I think 27% in WV. Presumptive nominees should not be losing by that margin.

Well, how about scandals involving his wife pulling of a Wright style tirade? Him being tied up with muslim terrorists in the Sudan?

Those would spell doom for most candidates.

As much as it pains me each time, she proves my many posts with every move she makes.

She will NEVER quit. She will nuke both Obama and the party if she must. And if it meant nuking the country as well, so be it.

No absurdity is too absurd for the Clintons, they know it.

And that strategy has consistently won out for them in their endeavors since the moment they decided to inflict themselves upon America.

I hate Bill and Hillary Clinton so much.

(Can ya tell?)

Per agreement, which they all signed off on, that those elections wouldn’t count. Typical dim clinton, “that was then, this is now”.

Unbelievable, and no one calls them on it.

fight the very rule you originally approved of. Changing
the rules in mid stream is their MO. One day the public will

But Hillary won’t have a majority of delegates heading to the convention.

Neither one can win the nomination without superdelegates. That's the entire point. If something blows up in Obama's face, Hillary hopes enough will swing over to her for the nomination.

Trust me on this.
They either know something or they have something that they will bring up just before the convention (It may be a complete lie but it will be too late for The magic negro to do anything about it).
Slick wants to squeeze another one in the sink.
