Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini here Wednesday strongly condemned the US troops' "defamatory" approach towards Holy Quran, saying the gesture has rendered hearts of Muslims in Iran and other parts of the world.
"The US troops' insult to Muslims' religious sanctities and beliefs has a precedence. Repetition of such moves is shameful and purposeful," said Hosseini.
He said a suitable strategy should be worked out by the UN and other international forums and organizations to prevent desecration of divine religions and a suitable model of encountering such defamatory gestures should be adopted.
He added that Iran's Foreign Ministry will continue with its serious efforts at the Organization of the Islamic Conference on other cultural and international centers to check any insult to Islamic sanctities until favorable results are gained to uproot anti-cultural behaviors which run counter to nations' religious and moral values.

Such as this no doubt
“...saying the gesture has rendered hearts of Muslims in Iran and other parts of the world.”
At least it didn’t rend their hearts. I knew rendering Mohammed is taboo; I guess Muslim hearts are, too.
You may be able to enforce such censorship in an Islamic nation founded on theocracy but not in the United States where free speech has protected those who wish to denigrate, question, or praise a faith.
People working in the name of the United States government can be taken to task for their actions but the entire nation of the United States cannot be silenced by such an edict. It goes against our Constitution for free people.
Maybe if you “render” them, you’ll get a little useful muzzie oil.
“desecration of divine religion”
Yeah... too bad Islam isn’t one.
Good one, my thought exactly.
The headchoppers will use this as an excuse to do what comes naturally for them - kill innocent Christians and Jews, chop heads off and film the ceremony, then upload the video to the internet for fellow Death Cultists to watch and enjoy while eating halal popcorn.
They just use different tools and try establish laws here that accomplish the same thing. Political correctness, hate speech, incitement laws, etc. The UN is infested with muslims working on "international" laws to stop anyone from exposing Islam for what it is. According to Moon-bat (the UN Sec. general, we should just get it over with and convert to Islam.
All of that is true. But,,,,, what a bone-headed move for that sniper to shoot the koran. We’ve expended much energy trying to gain the cooperation of these muslims. They’re jerks, but we still need their help. They’ve provided a lot of good intelligence lately. I’d make that soldier clean latrines!
ps:Screw the UN!
Well I render fat from pork and goose from time to time,,,,,so the muslims have fat hearts?
Interesting that Iran can say with a straight face that people should start listening to the U.N.
Why?
Would the results be the same if it were a Christian bible?
I guess I won't share my dog picture...
Maybe the Muzzies will start wearing coats make out of Korans and they won’t be able to move as fast.
Why? Muslims desecrate the bible all the time. The Arabs shred them at their airport. Palestinians shat and pissed all over in St. Josephs Church in Israel, tore up bibles for toilet paper. Muslims use 14th century monasteries in Kosovo as public toilets, and burn them down.
The koran is nothing but a collection of hate filled writings supposedly recited from Mohammad's filthy mouth as told to him by Satan disguised as an angel (that beat Mohammad up trying to get the illiterate retard to "recite")
Using it as a target for practice is no crime.
Is it the dog picture I think it is? Dog and Koran?
The UN can start by removing all the vile hatred contained within that filthy koran and other Islamic "sacred" writings.
The koran will then be known as the "holy book" with no pages between it's covers.
