Today’s results suggest to me that there are, in fact, two Americas: the America of the liberal/leftist elites and the America of everyone else.
That’s at least in part due to the Republican nominee already being selected.

It’s only the three northernmost Metro counties that are whacko...the rest of the state, like mine in the Southwest, is pretty conservative and is primarily farm and timberlands.
If ya’ want to see some real Oregonians, watch Ax Men on Discovery...it’s a reality show like Ice Road Truckers or Deadliest Catch, that profiles several groups of Oregon loggers.

Oregon is beautiful and there are some Beautiful people living here. It is and has been a very very BLUE state.
But there are Conservatives here too.
Have you ever been to Ashland in Southern Oregon? It makes the Willamette valley look like Wyoming.
They had to keep correcting Wolf Blitzer on CNN that we dont have exit polls in Oregon.
He still kept saying it out of habit.

I used to log, although not here in Oregon, I logged in Alaska and North idaho, but every time I watch those guys, I am moved by how close they are to the “real” America, not the world of the freakishly Leftist tyrants of today’s world.

I live in Grants Pass, 45 minutes north of Ashland.
You’d be amazed at how many conservatives there are around the Ashland/Talent area.
I know the libs seem to dominate, and it IS Eugene South, but there’s still lots of rednecks/farmers/loggers and other types of conservatives around, they just keep kinda quiet.
I used to gather signatures for petitions with the OCA and other conservative groups, and there was always a stream of people coming up to me in Ashland and telling me how conservative they are, and how much they disagreed with the area’s politics.

Washington State will be next. Some ex-governor (can't think of his name) from here is pushing it now and the votes in Seattle will carry the whole state. Pretty much like Portland carries the state of Oregon.
