US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that no option should be ruled out in order to stop Iran's march toward nuclear weapons.
"Iran must be stopped. They are a threat to the neighborhood and a source of funding for Hamas and Hizbullah," Pelosi told Channel 1.
While hoping there would be no need for a military strike, the House speaker stressed, "I do think we must not take anything off the table."

Yeah, I think that’s it. Pelosi has been given intelligence showing how much a strike is needed, plus, Bush has told her he’s going to do it. I suspect Reid and the Republican leadership have probably also been informed.

That’s what I was thinking.
The House had a rare closed session back in March - one of those where if a member leaks anything, he or she loses all rank and chairmanships. Aside from the economic crisis, Iran was no doubt one of the primary topics. Everything was likely laid out on the table for them in such a way that only the most die-hard Democratic Socialists could object to action against Iran.
Probably why Obama has been trying to set up a private appeasement business on the side - and why he squawked so much when Bush aimed that arrow at Jimmy Carter.

We could gather up all the liberals in the House, all the liberals in the Senate, all the liberals on the Supreme Court, and we can throw in all the trial lawyers just for good measure, pack them into C130s and drop them on Iran (you pick the altitute). I certainly believe that it would be a major (Democratic) coup and a clean sweep of the nomination if Barak went to Iran before the convention to talk with the mullahs. Chrissy Matthews would feel that warm tingle on his leg again, for sure. The rest of America would be able to see how little Barak actually knows and can do.

Yep, that's exactly what you'll hear. Let's count on one hand the number of Dems who voted to sanction the Iraq intervention and who have stuck with the President since then.
And it's even simpler in application. If Bush takes an action, any action, they can blame the whole thing on him. If he leaves it to a Democrat to decide they won't have that out.
