Thanks for the ping. I'm going to apologize ahead of time if I offend anyone with these next few remarks, but I want to say this. I am very disappointed in some of the fellow FReepers today, who spew the same bile that is spewed on the DU board whenever someone on the right is ill.

It's never a happy time to see anyone suffer with this terrible illness. Cancer is a terrible disease that attacks on so many levels besides the physical.

It's really sad to see some people believe God has bestowed upon them the right to sit in judgment of another or to see people using Sen. Kennedy's illness as some sort of soap box for whatever political position they would like to advocate (on both sides of the aisle).

Everyone should stop and think how they would feel if they were in Sen. Kennedy's family's shoes? Having lost a very well loved father-in-law to cancer, who was somewhat controversial to some, hearing the snide remarks of those who felt like they were somehow superior to him only largened my grief, and really made me angry at those people. There are just times when politics should be put aside.

I would like to offer up prayers thoughts to Sen. Kennedy and his family. May God comfort them in their time of need. Now, I'm off my soapbox and ready to fully turn my attention to Hannity.

Some kind and noble thoughts. Glioblastoma is one nasty tumor. I don’t care what your political disagreements are, this is something you don’t want to wish on anybody, or celebrate their having it. Ted Kennedy may be many things, but it’s not for us to say that he “deserves” to suffer like this any more than anyone else does.

I agree with you so much! It just takes one stupid/ignorant hateful, cruel post for O’Reilly to begin calling us a “hate site” again, yet some cannot put aside their feelings on politics and see the human side as well. :-( Very sad.

However, I would like to say a majority of the posts I have read have been positive and the Admin/Mods have done an excellent job of deleting anything too vile. Bless their hearts, I bet they have been busy today.
