Boston’s Children’s Hospital bills itself as the hospital for children — and now it’s also the hospital for children who want a sex change, a procedure some critics are calling “barbaric.”

Dr. Norman Spack, a pediatric specialist at the hospital, has launched a clinic for transgendered kids — boys who feel like girls, girls who want to be boys — and he’s opening his doors to patients as young as 7.

I do not understand the whole transgender/transsexual idea, I admit I’m not with it in this whole area.

But isn’t it a bit extreme to do operations and hormone treatments and all that on children? At least with an adult who had come to the conclusion he’s in the wrong body, he’s fully grown and developed. These are children who aren’t even in puberty yet. This is criminal to do anything in this area with children.

Where is the AMA and the various pediatric associations on this? This is beyond sickening. But not surprising for a city that consistently helps elect the likes of Teddy “Swimmer” Kennedy and John F’n Kerry.
