Those seeking signs that the 2008 presidential race has begun in earnest need only consult this weekend’s New York Times Magazine. Coincident with Barack Obama’s emergence as the Democratic nominee in all but name, the magazine features an 8,000-plus word article by national political reporter Matt Bai that crystallizes what will surely be the Democrats’ preferred line of attack against John McCain leading up to November’s election. Framed as an evolutionary study of McCain’s foreign-policy thinking, it is in fact a straightforward attempt to implicate the Arizona senator in the failures – real, distorted and flat-out fabricated – of the war in Iraq.

McCain was protected by the MSM in the Republican primaries. That insulation is gone now. They now sharpen their knives.
What is worse, conservatives HERE are doing the same. The only reason I can guess why is that their hatred of McCain is so bad that they would rather undermine the McCain campaign and allow a ‘Rat to become president than simply shut up or support their own candidate.
No man ever built himself up by tearing another down.
Yup--and they've already caught him on camera being cranky at being asked the same question repeatedly.
1. NO ONE has ever claimed that McCain is the conservatives’ choice. Well, except for you. Fact, McCain was the default candidate after the other GOP candidates split the base so badly no conservative could take a plurality of votes.
2. McCain is conservative on a variety of important issues: firearms, abortion, Iraq, spending, and more.
3. You give yourself the label, not me.
Now, what GOOD will come from continually bashing McCain? Will it make hime a better candidate? No.
Will it make some as yet unannounced conservative rise up and become president? No.
Will it keep a ‘Rat out of the White House? No.
Sure, it will “teach them a lesson”, but the lesson is so severe it is like teaching someone the danger of guns by shooting them in the head.

Just exactly which "their candidate" other than McCain is there? It's been decided already, McCain IS the nominee. The NYT decided it, MSM decided it, some Republicans acceded and voted for him...it's been decided already.
Now, I'm supposed to just shut up and enjoy it? You people are setting this country up for a disaster that will set conservativism back 100 years and it will be blamed on Republicans. He's no different than the other two, he's just telling some different lies to conservatives in order to get elected.
Then post his position on ALL of the issues, not just the ones you disagree with,

Actually, I'm shocked that Juan did not realize MSM would turn on him. This speaks volumes that he would be bamboozled into other liberal causes ie raising taxes, surrendering to islamic fascists, etc.
