We can vote for McCain knowing that he will be a placeholder for four years until someone rises up with fire in the belly to take to task the cancer of Marxism that is taking root in this nation.

You really believe this? That the Republicans will overturn their incumbent in 2012? What's else do you believe -- that Obama's not an incompetent liberal? That Clinton dodged sniper fire in Kosovo? That polar bears are on the way to extinction?

It's just not going to happen. We're screwed. We can pretend that we're not, but *there are no good options*. The party screwed up this primary, and we're going to have to deal with the consequences: a candidate who tries to *encourage* people to believe in global warming, wants a guest worker program, who wants to make nice with the Dems on almost everything, and now, on the one issue he was strong on -- the war -- he's now offering timetables. I mean, wow. Just, wow.

We are so totally screwed, with the chances nearing 100% that an appeasing, center/leftist will gain the White House and staff the place with a bunch of losers. The only hope would be a massive national revolt coalescing into a legitimate independent candidacy by a well known conservative, ballot qualified in all states. And it will take a miracle to get to that point.

So the writer doesn’t like Bush’s second term. Bush seems to have kept the writer and his loved ones safe (along with mojito and his) - obviously a thankless job.

McCain will make a superb Commander in Chief.

They loved our misery. The fact that we suffered made them feel better.

Envy can do that to a person.

I cannot help but think that the news media picked McCain for us so we'd stay home and pick Batboy or the Beotch.

Screw them.

“But to say that McCain has the approval of liberals and the MSM is idiotic.”

Well they are the ones that got the pr*ck his current gig as nominee of the Republican party.

Let them elect him.

Huh??Hildebeast is competent enough to bake cookies while making $100,000 in cattle futures on her first $1000 try while setting up a phony land deal at the same time floating a socialist lead balloon of a health care program while managing Bubba’s bimbo eruptions and collecting FBI files on opponents....did I leave anything out?Vince Foster, Ron Brown?...Competent enough to run a small family in Cosa Nostra, but NOT competent enough to be POTUS.Never, not no way, not no how.

Kerry (who by the way served in Viet Nam) served himself.McCain served this country. There is no comparison between their military service.John Kerry is a dishonorably discharged (pardoned by Jimmah Carter) sellout winter soldier traitor.

“Hoping McCain loses is nothing but Pyhrric victory and allows the left more power than they have ever had - no thanks.”

I’m not hoping that McCain loses for any vindication of my feelings about him.

It’s a very practical matter of what I stated.

They’re ALL dangerous. McCain will be rubber stamped. The other two may face more push back by Republicans and hence not as MUCH detrimental stuff get passed.

The ONLY thing about McCain that’s good is what you mentioned: his position on the war in Iraq. But I’ve got to tell you that I don’t necessarily believe that it’s a genuine conviction. He may very well reverse himself after he wins the election, i.e. it’s a calculated POLITICAL position.

Regards

EEDUDE

How, may I ask? Because she was married to a president? Sure,it gives her a notion of what goes on in the WH, but that doesn’t translate into real experience! She hasn’t had an elected position until the Senate. She wasn’t a mayor, or governor, military leadership exp. etc...

Come on, what are you saying? McCain has more experience than any of the other two! Even Obama has more legislative experience than she does! Where is this stuff about her being more ready to more competent to lead coming from? Only in her mind does she have more experience! Help me out here, please!

Can you see our military forces trying to follow a person like her? One who’s husband raided the defense budget to run around the world taking a bunch of people along with him that didn’t need to go, while our military had to find spare parts somewhere. One who threw coffee in a young marine’s face at a party she was having? One who had a bunch of marines serving her and her guests like servants! And when when she demanded that people not look at her when she walked down the hall, as if she was too good for them! Did you forget about the condoms on the WH Christmas tree? Good Heavens!

Sometimes I wonder about some people on here. I know some of you don’t like McCain, but saying Hilary would be more competent than even he is really hard to bend my mind around!

Obama: "I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems, ....I will not weaponize space... I will slow development of future combat systems... I will institute a 'Defense Priorities Board' to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used ..."

Then, there will be peace in our time without the evil republicans causing war!

My change is good for Muslims, Islamofascists, Black Racists, and Chrislims. $crew the Christians and real Jews!

We do what the DemonRATs will never do: attack ourselves. They will exploit that division in an easy game of divide and conquer. We need to close ranks behind McCain. We can look at the positive things he will do and thank God there is someone on the right side about some of the things we believe in.

They'll never attack themselves -- you saying that after this primary season? If you really believe that, check out the comments on this site.

Honestly, since we have a lousy presidential candidate, I'd much rather focus my energies on the House and Senate.
