Graphic arts class gets overly graphic

Sheila Harmon found out about the situation at her son's high school in Fairfield, Calif., through a disturbing text message he sent: "Oh yeah. My teacher accidentally brought up his gay porn."

Students in a computer graphic arts class at Armijo High School have reported their instructor was teaching a lesson on Adobe Photoshop Monday when the image that was projected to the screen revealed two men engaged in sex.'

Freshman Chris Matthews told KXTV-Television in Sacramento that the teacher was clicking on random files when, "All of a sudden this big image of literally gay porn shows up. And he's going crazy. Just by that reaction that shows that he didn't expect it."

Students report that the image remained on the screen for four or five seconds while the teacher scrambled to remove it.

District officials are conducting an investigation to see whether the sneak peak and the image itself – stored on a school computer – will require disciplinary action.

"He was like, 'Oh, oh, oh, no,'" freshman Garett Cameron told the television station. "Then he hid it away and just kept on going like nothing happened."

A homosexual art teacher? What’re the odds?

>>>A homosexual art teacher? What’re the odds?
Less than the odds of a gay male fashion design instructor, or male hairstyling instructor.

will require disciplinary action or will in the future simply be required 'teaching'
to further enable teachers to select their NEA-chosen docile, student prey

Straight teachers who “accidentally” show porn images are fired. Since there is a BIG double standard, it’s safe to say that this teacher won’t be fired.

That is just insane.

If I had porn of any kind on my work computer I’d be fired as soon as they found out. It wouldn’t take showing it to anyone for that to happen either.

Its gay porn so he’s safe. Remember that one lady whose PC was infected with a virus that brought up porn. She was jailed.

“If I had porn of any kind on my work computer I’d be fired as soon as they found out.”

Exactly! It has happened to several people where I work.

Actually, I can’t imagine a CA teacher being fired for any reason. Not if he has tenure of any type.

If the teacher had included a few Robert Mapplethorpe images he could claim they were approved/funded by the National Endowment for Art......

Oh, well, since it’s homo porn, it must be okay. It’s part of the High School experience to be exposed to diverse lifestyles.

What a positive experience for these Freshmen - the rest of the school must be quite jealous! The teacher would surely be most willing to tutor some of these boys privately in the more detailed aspects of this kind of expressionist art.

As for any parents that may protest this, they don’t have education degrees, so they’re not qualified to make decisions on the education of their children. Besides, they’re gay-bashing homophobes that should be locked up for hate crimes.

The company I work for now, and the one I worked for previously both have zero tolerance policies for this sort of thing. If any pornographic material is found on my work computer, it’s immediate dismissal. At my last job, I knew several otherwise good employees who were let go for violating this rule.

I fail to see how our school systems can have a more leniant policy in this area than corporate America. Why does this man still have a job teaching kids?
