Federal Immigration agents on Monday arrested more than 300 people during a raid at a Postville meat processing plant.
The raid by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was the largest in Iowa history, Matt M. Dummermuth, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Iowa, said at a news conference.
Dummermuth said the raid at the Agriprocessors Inc. plant in northeast Iowa came after months of planning, beginning in October 2007. Federal agents were helped by state and local police.
Authorities said more than 300 workers were arrested on a variety of charges included fraudulent use of Social Security numbers and identity theft.

We have a meat plant in Joslin, IL not too far from where I live. I’ll bet dollars that there’s a healthy number of illegals working there as well.
I hope immigration hits them next.

I wonder if ICE has any clue WHY this is the largest such raid in Indiana history. If it had been doing it’s job over the last twenty years, we wouldn’t be in this mess.
I’m perfectly willing to place most of the blame at the very top too.

With 300 illegal aliens packing meat for U. S. consumption the diseases their bodies harbor can be spread much faster to kill more Americans.
They drive cars into us while drunk, they rape, murder and steal, they soak up all the public funds intended for poor Americans.
They are the gift that keeps on taking.
America: cut your own damned grass.

Read that DM Register story. I cannot post it because it is Gannett. It is unbelievable. This is a kosher meat plant(!) The illegals were running a meth lab inside the plant. A supervisor who complained was fired.

if they arrest all the illegals, the meat processing plants will have to close.
but that's ok, before too long no one will be able to afford to buy meat anyway. americans will be on all the canal banks with cane poles

I’m sure they’ll show up.

Good!!!
Now they need to use the RICO law to go after Agriprocessors Inc, its board, and its executives confiscating ALL their assets and jailing the top 4 or 5 perps in a tough federal prison.

Several years ago I read an interesting book (Postville) about the Lubavicher [sp] Jews who bought a closed plant and started a kosher meat company in the late 80s. If I remember correctly, the locals were initially excited about the activity as the town was dying. Then, there got to be more of them. Then, there weren't enough people to work in the plant. There was conflict and the town was being transformed. Another company brought a packing plant in...
I guess the epilogue to the book can now be written: lots and lots of illegal aliens worked at the plant. There is even more conflict. The feds finally took notice of the rampant violations. Freepers can now comment.

De Finlay said she has stopped by Cattle Congress repeatedly today, checking the grounds for signs that people were being detained there. She said she saw no buses enter.
I think the money were spending on all this is incredible. You and I will never know how much it costs. That money could be used for something else other than this crap, this nonsense, she said.”

Three hundred people hiding in plain sight.
THREE HUNDRED....in IOWA.
And running drugs out of the plant to boot.

The United States are in the midst of greatest crime wave in all of their history, one that, undefeated, will end the nation. I'm all about ending II, but this statement is not true. Actually, crime peaked out in the early 1990s, dropped a bit during Clinton's administration, dropped more during bush's first term, and has more or less stabilised at the level it was at around the late 1970s (which still isn't too good).

People should stop eating meat. Meat is suffering on a plate. I've found that my level of suffering is inversely proportional to the amount of meat on my plate.

Didn’t you find it strange that one abusive supervisor was outed as a Hasidic (sp?) Jew? What was that all about. The race of the abusive female wasn’t revealed.
My take on this is that some people associated with that business need to go to prison.
Why would the unions seek to block this raid. Don’t they want union members to be employed there. That’s something that doesn’t make much sense, unless the unions are helping these folks vote illegaly and hope to be able to make union gains later on based on why they manage to elect.

Meat is suffering on a plate.
A couple of decades ago I thought I found the girl I was destined to marry. She was a graphics art student at my university who had recreated the Smiths "Meat is Murder" album cover.
However, instead of the repeating black and white portraits of a soldier, it was different cuts of meat on plates. The text read "Meat is Dinner". She sold silkscreened t-shirts of it. I wish I would have purchased several spares as I'd love one now.

Agri will very likely not re-open, they will probably move their facility to South America.
Meanwhile, Alouette's family will be importing meat from Canada.

If we did, there would be millions and millions of new crimes to count which currently are not, and also go unprosecuted.
