Lucky Number 10,000: Ten Thousand Human Shields Pledge to Protect Iran

Wanted: Human Shields to protect Iran, Free One-Way Ticket

The Human Shield Movement has announced it reached its 10,000th pledge member. The lucky guy to sign on as a Human Shield Volunteer number ten thousand is Steven Morris from Birmingham UK. Morris has pledged to use his body as a “human shield” against an “attack on Iran” from “neo-con” President Bush.

Volunteers from 22 countries not from Iran have pledged to travel to the Middle Eastern country at a moment’s notice to place their “human shields” or in simpler terms, their bodies in front of civilian infrastructure in Iran in order to “prevent what they believe would be a catastrophic and unjustified attack” from the “warmonger” President Bush.

While we believe if there were to be such an attack it would be catastrophic, especially for the Human Shields, we’re not so sure it would be unjustified. We wondered if each of the Shields will be assigned large bold numbers for identification purposes if their worst case scenario is confirmed. We suggest each Human Shield also receive a form to fill out for future Honorary Darwin Awards.

Remember how effective the Human Shields were when we attacked Iraq? Not one stuck around. They are cowards, and are likely to become political science grads, or professors.

There was also the fact that they went to protect hospitals and infrastructure and the Iraq's kept trying to get them to stand in front of Ammo Dumps and Arms Warehouses.

These people have got to be some of the most deluded twits walking the face of this planet.

Nitwits one and all.

“While the above may occur, what you will not see is one sudden and pre emptive massive attach on Iran.”

Thanks, and I agree with everything you said. very strategic and logical. People need to see that we’re not talking nuke, nuke, nuke.

“When that form or diplomacy reaches a point of diminishing returns and the regime is weakened, the U.S. and allies can launch a full scale attach.”

td - one more question I have - in this event, who are our allies in your best opinion?

In attacking Iran, our allies will be few, I don't even think the Brits would sign up for such a task.

In the end, I think we would need to wait until conditions in Iraq are copacetic and then tell the International Community “Hey kids, our plan worked in Iraq, now let's move on to Iran and do the same thing using the lessons we learned in Iraq."

Unfortunately, I do not think that at this time the American people or the International Community wants to go full scale into Iran.

However, low intensity attacks with a good dose of internal deconstruction of the current regime would be acceptable.

“Unfortunately, I do not think that at this time the American people or the International Community wants to go full scale into Iran.”

Of course, you’re right, much to the world’s misfortune. Regarding the rest of your post about using the same strategy for Iran as Iraq - one huge difference we have to deal with here is the difference between Sunni (Iraqi) and Sh’ite mentality of Islam. Only the sh’ites (Iranians/ayotallahs) have this apocalyptic vision and mission that they can and MUST hasten the second coming of the 12th imam, with mass cataclysm, bloodshed and worldwide annihilism of all infidels in order to bring about a “peaceful, just and perfect paradise on earth”.

And lastly, as I posted earlier, Israel will NOT, if sufficiently cornered, allow a second holocaust to happen.

If they are women, they better cover up from head to toe or the peaceful people they are protecting will beat them to a pulp.

Just a little while after this thread was posted someone put up an argument that to save the planet we need some people to die.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Morris will be attempting to slow down bombs using both his body and his righteous attitude.

Well, you can't fix STUPID, but this line made me smile.

We suggest each Human Shield also receive a form to fill out for future Honorary Darwin Awards.
