Who’s a strong pick though? Some people seem to be under the sorely mistaken impression that Flip “Socialized Medicine” Flopney is a strong ‘conservative’ pick. Others might think that Huckabee is a good idea.

The only one I can think of, aside from Fred Thompson, is Mark Sanford and I haven’t seen any movement in that direction.

I think we’ll either end up with a liberal pick that everyone will say is ‘conservative’ (Romney or Huckabee) or some wishy washy more liberal ‘moderate’ like Pawlenty or Crist.

Suckage either way. It’s like putting perfume on a pig.

“It’s like putting perfume on a pig.”

Good post. I agree, but want to stress that it’s not even a good perfume. More likely, toilet water.

I coulda voted for Mitt. Not because I believe that he is a conservative. Moreso than McBackstabber maybe, but because Mitt doesn’t hate me and almost everything that I stand for.

Can’t say the same for McBackstabber.
