McCain "has done more to hurt the Republican Party than any elected official I know of."

McCain has hurt the Conservatives - he's done wonders for the spineless moderates of the GOP.

Screw the House Republicans. I have zero sympathy for those earmark loving, scandal tolerating, morons who think it's a great idea to introduce such important legislation as banning the sale of Playboy on military bases.

Ronald Reagan would be ashamed of them. John McCain is more fiscally conservative than they are as a group. Hopefully they learn to shut the heck up, keep government out of our lives, and fight all discretionary spending to the death.

The Democrats are running Conservatives dressed up as Democrats to beat Republicans in conservative voting areas.

Going moderate won’t get the GOP anywhere.

Thursday of this past week I received a McCain campaign contribution solicitation in the mail. I returned it stating I will make no contribution to McCain or the GOP until he selects his V/P running mate, at which time I will decide.
I also stated McCain has done his level best over the years to dis republican conservatives, even though he now claims to be one. At the Presidential level I have never not voted republican; however, I find this Presidential candidate not to my liking. His choice of a strong V/P for the ticket will influence my decision to vote in this election. Otherwise, I won't.

Republicans have worked very hard to be in this situation, it must be what they want.

Republicans in the U.S. Congress are petrified about a November debacle, a fear stoked on May 3, when they lost their second straight special election in a district held by Republicans.

I imagine they should have been thinking about that when newt was banging the sectary. No, it was pass the pork 24-7. No back bone gets one in their current position.

The GOP is potentially in real trouble.

McCain is a symptom, not simply the cause.
I suggest that we watch out for falling rock.

“Republicans are saddled with an enormously unpopular president, a war, a troubled economy....”

I can’t help but wonder how unpopular the WOT WILL BE, when we are fighting it on our own streets, out of oil and in the complete economic depression that the democrats and MSM are trying so hard to give us.

If so much as a single Troop loses his/her life in battle, can it still be a popular war? It seems that the only war the democrats will support is one in which our President is taken down while WE surrender to the enemy.

Will the war be popular when we finally take up arms against ourselves?

I hope and pray that when the time comes for me to meet the souls that gave their last measure for this country, my life and our precious freedoms.... that I will have lived my life such as to have earned their sacrifice.

I guess I got into a ramble..sorry, I do that from time to time.

Well, I don’t care, there’s no way I’ll EVER think a Juan presidency would be worse than a Barack Hussein Obama one. If this is the part where I’m supposed to bash the GOP, forget it.

Republicans forced to turn to their nemesis: John McCain

The GOP wants to think I am forced to do this; however, it just isn't so. I will not cast a vote for that man.

I don’t feel forced to do anything, McCain you worthless piece of cow dung.

If people would rather have Obama or Hillary then they are welcome to it.

America deserves Obama. The spineless pubbies that support a liberal like McCain derserve exactly what they ask for.

A different candidate that embraces conservative values is a winner, McCain does nothing of the kind and deserves to lose.

I never feel FORCED to do anything. Only spineless weenies feel forced. If folks want liberals, then liberals is what they will get.

Don’t matter what you choose this time around, you are going to get an illegal pandering, global warming, unconstitutional a hole.

Do I feel forced to vote for Juan McCain. Uh, No!

If it comes down to choosing between McCain and Obama (or for that matter Hillary)any Republican would have to concur that McCain, despite his flaws, is an infinitely better choice. Any idea about staying home from the polls to spite McCain and moderate Republicans is committing to a course of national suicide. The damage Obama could do to our economy and national security in four years is frightening.

Tom DeLay ... complained that McCain "has done more to hurt the Republican Party than any elected official I know of."

And he's only just begun.
