SPOILER CLINTONITES RUINING A FUN PARTY

Peggy Noonan

May 11,2008-- THIS is an amazing story. The Democratic Party has a winner. It has a nominee. You know this because he has the most votes and the most elected delegates, and there's no way, mathematically, his opponent can get past him.

He's got this thing. And the Democratic Party, after this long and brutal slog, should be dancing in the streets. Party elders should be coming out on the balcony in full array, in full regalia, and telling the crowd, "Habemus nominatum": "We have a nominee." And the crowd below should be cheering, "Viva Obamus! Viva nominatum!"

Instead, you know where they are, the party elders. They are in a Democratic club on Capitol Hill, slump-shouldered at the bar, having a drink and then two, in a state of what might be called depressed horror. "What are they doing to the party?" they wail. "Why are they doing this?"

You know whom they are talking about.

The Democratic Party can't celebrate the triumph of Barack Obama because the Democratic Party is busy having a breakdown. You could call it a breakdown over the issues of race and gender, but its real source is simply Hillary Clinton. Whose entire campaign at this point is about exploiting race and gender.

There is a reason for the "boon" in boondoggle, Peggy! The boon is the leaders of the Dem party sitting slumped in a bar saying "set 'em again bartender."

Wonderful! I hope Hill never quits.

and it was entertaining to watch.
Thanks Rush!

This is her last dance. She knows it. Do or die.

If I remember correctly, during her first campaign in NYC she crashed a Men’s club.

She was ordered/asked to leave but her companion started responding with the “Do you know who this is..” stuff, Surprisingly the Hitlery got up and said, ‘OK, Let’s just go..’.

Hitlery knows when the difference between the battle and the war.

The inter-rat war is almost over. Leaving or staying is her last battle.

Clinton is trying to blackmail the superdelegates by poisoning Obama's chances in the general election, which suits her fine.

Either she'll get the nomination now, or in 2012. If not now, she will prevent any other Dem from winning in the general election.

But if she gets the nomination, her and her husband's race-baiting may have so alienated the black vote that they'll stay home in November. And that may not only cost the Dem's the Presidency, but also a lot of down ticket offices.

So she has created a situation where the best choice for the Dem's is to nominate an America-hating McGovernite black, left-liberal who can't win, even though the whole superdelegate process was instituted to avoid such an outcome.

She reminds me of Dido from the Aeneid, only she's immolating the whole party and not just herself.

Almost a tragedy. NOT! BWAAAAAHAHAHAHA.

And the biggest irony is that the one demographic group most fairly judging the candidates (based on voting patterns) are white males, who split their vote much more evenly than either blacks of white women.

The one is is really using race and class is Obama, not Hillary. I have a buddy, no college but is a network engineer, who wants to vote for McCain, but his college educated ($12/hr pay as a clerk in the publishing industry) is insisting he vote for Obama.

Its either those who wield the race card or the snobs with useless degrees who are pushing Obama. Anyone who does not follow the party line is a Trotskyite who must be punished.

This is a failed campaign. The Dem party is on the verge of a civil war. She has no exit strategy. She planned for a quick annointing soon after Super Tuesday leading up to the coronation. Now she is self-funding a losing war.

If Obama was not black would there be calls for Hillary to get out of the race? Hell no. The Democrats have a politically correct minority candidate and they must not allow a fight at the convention like in the days of old. In other words the politically correct bull chet has come home to roost.

She reminds me of Hitler in the bunker with followers crying out—”Lead us to the final victory.” I feel that she will bow out by the end of the month, give token support to Obama and wait for the crash and burn that is coming. This whole deal is starting to smell like a Greek Tragedy. Obama is becoming a tragic figure who will fall in the end.

Yeah. Hillary and Bubba and Barry and Michelle. That’s a fun crowd right there.

If I saw the four of them swimming in a toilet bowl, I’d hit the lever.

"Algore couldn't’t accept defeat either....CLASSLESS."

Not Quite... Remember... Al Gore conceded.. then got a call for Clinton that lead to the long drawn out battle.

It was the Clintons that could not concede...NOT Al Gore...

When it was finally over, he actually gave a very gracious speech...

I suspect the Clintons never forgave him for that...

Never interrupt your opponent when he is making a mistake.

The Democrats' choice is to nominate the spoiled goods (spoiled by his own actions) because he got more elected delegates, or She Who Must Not Be Named, in which case half of Obama's supporters will stay home on election day. God BLESS America, McCain 2008.
