Here we go again. After being subjected to eight years of the collegial presidency of Bill and Hillary, when we were told that when we got Bill we got Hillary as a bonus, it looks as if we are facing another twofer: Barack and Michelle.
Effete liberal Democrats are all but canonizing Barack Obama, who they see as one of their own — cool, detached, impressively intellectual — all in all what Pat Buchanan described as something fresh out of the faculty lounge, where lofty thoughts abound and contempt for the great unwashed is hardly concealed.
That may be an apt description, implying that the Barack Obama who scorned ordinary folks in small towns who, he sneered, cling to such lower-class crutches as religion and guns, is above the distractions of the madding crowd.
It does not, however, fit the other half of the new twofer, Michelle Obama, who far from being above it all is down there in the trenches acting like the flame-throwing liberal activist she is. To know her is to know what her husband really believes.
As I have told my listeners of my radio show, if you want to understand how Barack Obama uncomplainingly sat through all those fire-breathing sermons without so much as stirring uncomfortably you need to understand the way husbands and wives practice their religion these days.
The men in the pews for the most part are passive, while the wives tend to be passionate. In most cases husbands are there because their wives have dragged them there. Chances are that while the women sit in rapt attention to the words of their pastor, the husbands are snoozing, blissfully unaware of what the reverend is preaching.

THe Clintons didn’t alter much, but then again, they tried to steal a lot of valuable “traditional” stuff that had been there many decades, stuff whose presence they “tolerated” as forward-thinking progressives, but whose actual monetary value and undeniable cache they recognized and couldn’t resist possessing.....of course they also left a mess, AND decorated the Christmas tree with miniature dildos and other naughty ornamentation.

it would be nice if the first person not claiming to be white to gain the office of POTUS was someone who actually loved this country, most of it’s citizens and was proud of our history and especially our old very smart white guy founders.

I’m observing Obama support here in Nashville....bumperstickers on the cars of a fair number of middle class black women and then the Whole Foods crowd....educated whites with professional jobs, meek husbands, no make up bob cut wives, sissy undisciplined kids and a Volvo or Subaru.

What could we see? Surrender in the War on Terror; permanent suspension of habeas corpus; confiscation of firearms; limits on free speech; confiscatory taxes; expansion of affirmative action into all walks of life; any crime against a minority defined as a “hate” crime with expanded penalties; application of “Black Liberation” theories on a national scale; legalization of gay marriage, polygamy, etc.
Let us do all we can to ensure this will never happen.

I have been so turned off by the antics of the Clinton's during their 8 yrs. in office and after...don't really have words to express..that I can print....HOWEVER, my thinking on this Hillary Obama mess is, I have no illusions about Clinton...I pretty much know what to expect from her and figure the country can survive her for four years....on the other hand, I'm not sure just how much damage that other pair could and would do...they are as disgusting a pair as I've ever seen or heard. No one really knows what they are capable of. In my mind, they are a pair of radical, Communist/Marxist loving anti Americans, who are drawn to every HATE AMERICA nut case there is, and besides that,they are damned elitist snobs who look down their noses at the “great unwashed(ignorant) masses” of America.
And let's not forget his little speech lecturing us...that we who have been so fortunate should be willing to make some sacrifices...(does the phrase REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH give you a bad feeling in the pit of the stomach???).
We've already got more than enough of that mindset coming out of Washington.
