The south end of the city has been completely destroyed. At least a dozen ambulances have been seen leaving the area, and authorities have shut off access to the town.
Prayers for all affected.....hate the wicked weather in all it’s forms...
Many of us have asked that bad weather be put in breaking news until everything is over. If we aren’t there , needing a warning, we may have family that are. It also generates a lot of Prayer for the one’s “under the gun”
May God comfort all who mourn..Prayers for those still in harm’s way.
Where else would one put it when it is breaking news?
Chetopa, KS = A lot of damage, houses flattened, some injuries.
Pitcher, OK = Evacuating people out of the city, houses leveled..... bodies being carried out in pickup trucks...........
The moderator disagreed, so I guess to categorize it by states affected would work.
You obviously don’t live in the Plains states or the south or you wouldn’t have said anything. BTW, that picture is disgusting.
We know what it is like to have tornadoes coming at you on a moment’s notice. These are deadly tornadoes that have been hitting today so it deserves Breaking News as they move into the southern states out of the Plains. At least half of a town is wiped out in Oklahoma.
South side of the City of Stuttgart AR:
6 people missing from two different mobile homes. Gas leaking all over the south side of the city. Lots of rescues underway.
Local news is saying that the southern half of the town is gone and they are now looking for people that are still in storm shelters that are covered by debris.
Prayers up! Some warnings in Miss now.
I was referencing Pitcher, OK. Report is out of Tulsa and OKC. Rescuers from Miami, OK, responded. Tornado crossed the Turnpike near Miami which is not all that far from Joplin, MO.
Another tornado lifted right before the large state prison in McAlester, OK, and that system went into AR.
I’m just saying that weather-related threads historically don’t last long in breaking news. Just ask HAL9000.
very rare situation setting up..
we have a very strong winter like system with summer instanbility
tornado watches now out for the SE too torandoes watches from texas all the way to the Atlantic oceean
Prayers lifted..
Yes. Prayers up.
for someone who’s only been here a few days you’ve got a big mouth! These events are important for many of us here who have family and friends in these areas.
Oh that is horrible. It is starting to creep up on us in TH now.
SW MO... 5 dead ...More then 30 people injured currently served in St. Johns hospital.... Hospital is full.... Disaster trailer dispatched to Newton County.
6 dead in OK now
Time for you to die.

We spent 20 minutes in basement here in Saginaw, MO. We had hail and lots of water, with some flooding, but escaped the worst. There are at least 3 fatalities a few miles southwest of us.
I was sitting here thinking the same thing about the person and his picture he put up! We are on the same page.
These are deadly storms being set off by a cold front that is moving through. Now that it is dark, they can come out of nowhere.
Signing up recently doesn’t mean you don’t know how FR works.
A lot of folks, like myself, have lurked for a long time.

God thats scary, take care
These are nasty storms that are pretty widespread since it hit Pitcher before going into MO and outside McAlister before going into MO. The local people are saying they are an F-3 right now which means winds over well over 100.
Stay safe and watch for incoming storms because these are nasty.
This storm looks like it’s not anywhere near over and is on the move. Would you review and consider leaving it in breaking tonight?
Thanks
Just because someone questions what is defined as breaking news? Wow.
Get lost, puke.
Thanks. I wasn’t putting “in” on the “adm”. I guess I need more practice, huh?’)
Thank God you are safe.
I got it. Thanks.
Prayers you are OK..Check in if you can.
We just went on tornado watch for the Atlanta area....
You’ve violated the “no personal attacks” policy twice now. I haven’t attacked you personally and wouldn’t think of it.
Thanks but we dodged these storms completely. I live in Norman, home of the National Weather Service and Storms Prediction Center but we had a beautiful day except the wind picked up tonight. The original watch area started one county east of us this morning when they first started sending out warnings it was going to be a nasty day.
With the new facilities, the NWS is even better equipped to get out the early warnings. This afternoon we were driving by the airport in Norman commenting about the new radars they have up now compared to several years ago not even thinking what was about to happen.
They did have several tornadoes hit north of OKC this week. Been a very active year so far.
Take care. Do your reporting from the basement:’)
So ban me.
I have some really good friends in the Stuttgart, Brinkley & Redfield, AR areas. Don’t want to call and tie up lines that are needed for emergency services so I’ll be on this thread for a while.
I’m on the coast in SC and they’re saying that we’re in for strong storms starting during the night and all day tomorrow.
Those alerts are spreading fast. I just looked at the radar and the alerts had gone into Alabama and totally out of OK. Stay safe and stay tuned for the weather since it looks like it will hit there in the middle of the night.
I cannot believe looking at radar how big these storms are getting.
