OK, so Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., is staying in the presidential race despite losing among elected delegates, facing a slimming lead among superdelegates, losing the popular vote and being behind by 2-to-1 in the number of states carried.
She slogs on, hoping against hope for a sudden turnaround in the race.
Apart from the psychological reasons for her stubbornness, is there a more subtle political calculation going on?
Is she continuing her race so as to have a platform from which to continue to bash Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in the hopes of so damaging him that he can’t win the general election? Is she doing this to keep her options alive for the 2012 presidential race?
Hillary is obviously entitled to keep running until Obama has secured the votes necessary for the nomination, and it is certainly understandable that she would want to run until the last popular vote is counted. But must she run a negative, slash-and-burn campaign? Must she use her time on the platform and on television to belittle, mock, deride and try to destroy the man who will eventually be the candidate of her own party?

Dick Morris needs to get back to toe sucking with his postitutes.
He’s slammed Hillary at every opportunity. Obama is wrong for America but Dick doesn’t care. All he cares about is getting even with Hillary for some reason.
I cannot stand to see the guy’s face on TV.
He’s scared she will win the POTUS job. Guess who will be Public Enemy #1 if she does?

If Hillary makes POTUS, a LOT of folks are going to receive full anal exams by the IRS.
This is getting ridiculous. The Dems can end the contest any time they want by having all the remaining super delegates vote for Obama.
The only problem is that they don’t think he can win in November and are waiting for a miracle.
If the Dems can’t even run their own party and nominate a candidate, how can they ever expect to run this great country?

If so, the Clintons would be doing a great service to the country, whatever their motivation. They do know that Obama is a danger to the survival of the West, an empty suit, an affirmative action candidate, a "fairy tale", etc. They know that his crowds are mindless enthusiasts, lemmings that could take us all over the cliff.
She is continuing in the race because she is waiting for the primaries to end. Then she can destroy him and take the prize for herself.
She's all-in for this race. There is no posturing for 2012. In 2012 she will be 64 years old, a loser to a political neophyte, and running for reelection for her senate seat, AND running for president again. Nope. Not happening. She's got to win it all now.
The Clinton M.O. is: Deny, Delay, Destroy.
Deny: figure it however you want.
Delay: She has successfully delayed Obama in getting enough delegates to take the nomination outright.
Destroy: They will begin the destroy phase after the voting is over (June 3) so that there will be no electoral blow-back. They will start that phase of the campaign, on June 4. Expect it to be some sort of "un-American" thing that will hit its peak about July 4th and hoopla will go on for two weeks into mid to late July.
The Clintons used this tactic against the Republicans over and over again and slithered out from under unscathed.
As sure as the sun comes up in the east, the Clinton machine is going to destroy Obama and send him back to the Senate, crushed and powerless.

Too bad she can only cripple it, and not put it out of its eternal misery for once and all.
If Hillary were to ever achieve the presidency, Dick Morris would be on the “A” list for a dirt-nap in Fort Marcy Park.
If HRC makes a comeback and wins the nomination, then the election, Dick Morris will be bound and airdropped over Kandahar within 24 hours of the inauguration.
The downside ?
If she succeeds we get McCain. If she fails we get Obama.
I don’t see any upsides but downsides in all directions.

Sorry if this upsets anyone, but no way, no how can McCain or Obama beat the old 'Mena Airport' gang, even if they were sincere.

Huh?? Judging from McCain's 5 1/2 years in the hellhole torture-chambers of Hoa Lo prison, better known as the Hanoi Hilton, most people would likely agree that McCain's genetic makeup is excellent - in both a physical and spiritual sense.
A moving testimony to this has come from, among others, McCain's former cell mate, Col. George "Bud" Day - a Medal of Honor recipient and, in fact, the most decorated service man since Gen. Douglas McArthur.
FOXnews had a segment on this on 08 May 08, and followed it up with a report on their website - same date. Highly recommended.

You’ll wish you had Hillary if Hussein Obama gets elected. If it’s between Obama and Hillary, yes, I would support Hillary.
It’s not going to be between Hillary and McCain. I had hoped most of you had figured that out by now. It’s over for Hillary. Hussein Obama is the one that has to be stopped.
She and her husband have and will sell this country out for personal gain. The criminal Clinton syndicate in my opinion is far more dangerous than a neophyte liberal.
