Parker, Ginobili Lead Spurs Past Hornets
San Antonio Lightning ^ | 5/9/08 | (none given)

Posted on 05/09/2008 8:23:29 AM PDT by laotzu

The San Antonio Spurs' Big Three congregated around the scorer's table during a timeout in the fourth quarter, not long before they put the game away for good.

Tim Duncan patted Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. They all laughed.

Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili scored 31 points apiece in Thursday's victory, marking the third time in the last 15 years two backcourt teammates each scored 30-plus points in the same postseason game.

The NBA's defending champions were not going into an 0-3 hole against the New Orleans Hornets.

In what parallel universe does New Orleans deserve such a fine ball club?

“why are they called the ‘Lakers’?

The team originated in Minneapolis, MN...”the land of lakes!” LOL

George Mikan ~ pretty much considered to be the first BIG Man from the Minneapolis Lakers.

Pissed me off Kobe named MVP! A question mark after rape - an adulterer and all around puke! He sure is awkward at PR stuff. I watched the clip of him in the room with the family with a kid who is mentally disabled and Kobe asks if he wants some item autographed and the kid says yes and Kobe says “I’ll sign everything”! Very awkward and him walking around like he doesn’t know what he should next and then the PR stunt with his wife and kids giving him flowers! I almost lost it!

“rape?”

And how many women do you know that invite a married man to their hotel room in the middle of the night so they can be “raped?”

I suggest you study the facts of the case before you slander people.

I said with a ? rape! I guess he just paid her off huge amounts of money because he was innocent?! The girl was a flake to be sure - it was his room not hers.

LeBron is struggling, but he has NO teammates. It is sad.

He is an amazing player, but nobody, not even Magic or Jordan could do it alone.

Not that I am saying there is a conspiracy, but David Stern and the powers that be would love to see a Lakers/Celtics final. From a marketing standpoint it would be a goldmine.

“I guess he just paid her off huge amounts of money because he was innocent?”

which is the ONLY reason little miss girl scout cried “rape!”
she had NO PROBLEM when it came down to demanding money now did she

fyi, your “rape victim” had about as much credibility as a screen door on a submarine!

“In a Sept. 12, 2003, interview with Boulder County district attorney's investigator Tom Bennett, the woman said she didn't want to report the alleged attack.

When Bennett asked why, she said “I, I wondered if people would believe me. I really didn't think anybody would. ... Because of who Mr. Bryant is.”

Also included in the documents was a report from an investigator with the New Mexico attorney general's office, who helped with the case. She had talked with teenagers in Calgary, Alberta, where the alleged victim traveled several months after the alleged attack.

One of the teenagers, Kylie Robinson, said she felt the woman was not behaving like a rape victim, though she said she understood people can react differently.

“Kylie did not feel that (redacted) was a victim of a sexual assault because she seemed to make a joke of it and commented about money she was going to get from the trial,” the investigator wrote.”

http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/nba/bryant/20041008-1917-bryantcase.html

Finally, your “little miss girl scout” commented at a party after the fact about the size of Bryant's penis...
yea, she was really torn up about the “rape”...right up to the time she cashed the settlement check, which was what this whole incident was about.

Yeah, thanks for the backhanded compliment. The Hornets are finally making believers of outsiders.

What I like about this team is they really haven’t any thugs or hotheads on the team. The team even put Bonzi wells in check. Chris Paul is all class. Make no mistake, he runs this team on the court and off.

I think this series is going to come down to both teams holding home court advantage. Hornets Advance!

Love the Hornets! Someone needs to tell Bonzi to stop shooting. He is building a house with all the bricks

You are right, I mixed insult with compliment; which was rather juvenile of me(tee-hee). Your b-ball team is most excellent, which, I fear, will be the ones which go on to the next series

The Hornets are a team of gentlemen, which the Spurs pioneered. When compared to every other team, this quality alone makes them honorable champions.

The Spurs have always...always been a winning team, and can never be counted out. They could lose for the next 15 years, still average as a most winning team, and still garner my support.

I would not begrudge the Hornets beating them, but; would never bet against the Spurs.

Go Spurs!!! Hornets rule, but New Orleans sucks!
