Democrats tout shift in Hispanic voting

Hispanic voters registered as Democrats have overtaken Hispanic Republicans in Florida, signaling a trend that, if it continues, could have far-reaching implications for the 2008 election and U.S. foreign policy.

Until now, the politically influential, mostly Republican Cuban-American community in Miami-Dade made Florida the only state in the country where, among Hispanics, Republicans outnumbered Democrats.

April voter registration statistics show 418,339 Hispanic Democrats statewide, compared to 415,068 Hispanic Republicans and 345,108 registered with neither party, according to a Florida Democratic Party analysis of state data. The state provides registration data sorted by party and race to the public only in the month before an election.

The growth among Hispanic Democrats is striking. Since January 2006, when the state began identifying voters as Hispanic, Democratic registration has increased 18 percent. Hispanic Republicans grew by only 2 percent, while Hispanic voters choosing neither party are up 14 percent.

Amazing what registering Visa-overstays will do for a party.

Now is this any surprise?? Why do anyone think that Washington is working HARD to keep the borders OPEN?? Hispanics are going to, a do actually, represent a significant voting block in the USA. Lots of free this, free that — ALL FOR VOTES AND CHEAP LABOR.

There is always a reason when pols encourage the breaking of our laws, and the destruction of our soverignty, our demographics, and making a party joke out of American citizenship....ALWAYS a reason.

There’s no news here except for those who bought into the Bush/Rove fantasy that large numbers of recent (and mostly poor) Hispanic immigrants would become Republicans. There was never reason to believe they would. Hispanics registering as Democrats in Florida have over taken the mostly Republican Cuban-American registration because these new voters are non-Cuban Hispanics.

What a surprise! But no doubt Bush/Rove/McCain will attribute this to the rejection of their comprehensive immigration amnesty. They thought that bill would buy them the votes of recent Hispanic immigrants. That was nothing but a Tex-Mex-Border State fantasy because these new poor immigrants are natural constituents for the Dems.

Farm things have done more to harm the Republican party than
Bush/Rove/McCain’s trying to force their amnesty, vote buying scheme on a party that did not want it, and they tried year-after-year and will try again.

Please note that DNC Beth is quoting and spouting out DNC figures without question . How exactly do you count Latin votes in FL ? The latin population has been there so long its mostly mixed. More pure crap but its the drip drip drip of DNC lies the media peddles to try to discourage Repub voters.

Maybe this will help those who are still in the throes of denial about this administration....Democrats keep you down on the farm folks....

The most despicable acts of DECEIT ongoing in this country... Are the lies and hypocrisy... Perpetrated by the people seen in this short video. The next time you hear the expression "Bush's war" remember this video. And note that this is no "opinion," just direct video.

I'm sure there's plenty of flat out, just walked across the border types on the rolls too.

So. FL has a bigger than average problem with folks who come to "visit family" from South America and never go back.

'There are a few states where the Latino vote is going to be critical -- definitely Florida, as well as Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada -- and those are going to be battleground states in the national scope,'' said Lindsay Daniels, a strategist at the National Council of La Raza, a nonpartisan Hispanic advocacy group.

"Hispanic" Usage Note: Though often used interchangeably in American English, Hispanic and Latino are not identical terms, and in certain contexts the choice between them can be significant.

Will someone at La Raza please make up 'my' mind - its all so cornfusing. What are you??? /s

An aside, will the FBI kindly make note and STOP including 'Hispanics' in your 'White on Black' Hate Crime data. Yeah, yeah, I know. That would make White on Black 'Hate Crimes' non existent statistic wise, but they want to be separated as a race so kindly accommodate them. Thanks.

Hispanic, from the Latin word for "Spain," has the broader reference, potentially encompassing all Spanish-speaking peoples in both hemispheres and emphasizing the common denominator of language among communities that sometimes have little else in common.

It also includes their descendants who cant speak a word of Spanish and have nothing in common with so-called Hispanic culture.

IOW, it's become quite a racket. We have a blonde, light-eyed friend who is classifed as Hispanic because her father's side of the family is from Spain, giving her a Spanish sounding last name.

EAsy to explain. Cubans and most South Americans tend to be Republicans. These are not what most here think of as "Hispanic". What most here think of are mostly Mexican and Central American immigrants and illegals.

Florida was mostly full of the former, but over the last several years, I have seen a significant upturn in the number of the latter in this state.

Two Words: Puerto Ricans. The Orlando Metro area now has the second largest mainland Puerto Rican population in the US, and the vast majority of them are Democrats. That, combined with the increase in Central Americans, Mexicans, and Brazilians elsewhere in the state explains these numbers.

It amazes me how in a few short years, the Guatemalans took over all the schlep work in Palm Beach County from the Haitians.

*** IOW, it's become quite a racket. ***

And a very profitable one too. Like the non-racist racist 'National Council of La Raza'

I wonder what the MSM and pc crowds reaction would be to an all white group called...

National Council of Der Ethnizität.
They'd be screaming about non existent Jack Booted Brown Shirt Storm Troopers and Halliburton built SS Camps to hold 'progressive activists'.

I would not believe much from Beth Reinhardt. She is a full time Dem operative. This article is a DNC fax sent that she edited into an article. Thats how the lib media works now. They just rework faxes from there favorite sources. They check its its true because they are pushing an agenda.
The world is falling on the Repub party.

BINGO-

Open boarders
Social security for illegals
Free health care for uninsured illegals
No national ID
No information sharing between agencies (local state and national) reference illegals (i.e. schools don’t turn in kids that shouldn’t be here etc.)
Support for amnesty cities
Limit police pursuit of illegals
etc etc etc

The Democrat message is consistent across the board. It’s damaging economically and in security matters; but nonetheless consistent in that from local to national level, across the board in all aspects, as well as the over whelming majority within the party all speak the same message. The Democrats have adopted an “open boarder” stance, and the intent is obvious.

It’s all part of a scheme that is intended to buy the Hispanic vote. What is unfortunate, is that those who call themselves “Americans” that are Hispanic are often themselves victims of the consequences of this stupidity. May it be crime, degradation of social services not paid for, or competition for employment and the downward pressure in wages, the “legal” and often patriotic Hispanic (whom I have seem many of in the military), are ultimately the victims of this nonsense more so than the rest of us that don’t live in the communities hit as hard by this lack of enforcement of the law. Many within the Hispanic community sympathize with what they see as their own kind because of the obvious cultural and ethnic bond. People fail to realize and somehow think that the costs borne by illegal immigration are paid for by fake money, not their own. It’s the inherent nature of big governments and people who see the spending of this money not as their own, and as long as it’s not their own, they are very willing to give away free money to illegals, animal rescue projects, building highways to no where in Alaska………

Except most Hispanics in the United States are white and are counted as white by the census and by all other government statistics-takers.

True, with more Latinos illegally immigrating here, the hate crimes will probably increase and so will blame on white Americans.

Except They want to be treated separate. They say they are 'people of color' and are not white.

So I say the FBI should accommodate them on Crime Stat Data. And any other gubmint agency too.
