The once-formidable fund-raising machine of Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton has begun to sputter at the worst possible moment for Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign, Clinton advisers and donors said Thursday, with spending curtailed on political events and advertising as Mrs. Clinton seeks to compete in the last six nominating contests.
Mrs. Clinton’s diminished political momentum, following Tuesday’s loss in the North Carolina primary and her narrow victory in Indiana, appears to have had a dampening effect on her fund-raising, aides said, increasing the likelihood that Mrs. Clinton will lend her campaign more of her own money beyond the $11 million she has already provided.

To think they were almost broke and homeless when they entered the White House all those years ago. Now she can afford to lend her campaign 11 million dollars and then some.

Good. Hope the Clintons spend it all and live in poverty the rest of their lives. Wishful thinking unfortunately, it just can't happen. Their lips are permanently glued to the taxpayers teat for the rest of their lives.
I still don’t believe the reports of her raising 10 million the day after Pennsylvania.
I think it was a setup.
She knew she would win and had some illegal funds ready to be laundered in under the guise of “new momentum”.

Worst possble time????? The primaries are over. It will cost her very little to win in WVa, KY and battle it out in Oregon, Puerto Rico, SD and Montana? What is the biggest media market, Portland or Louisville? I suspect they have enough money to finish this out.
I’ve been wondering when she’s going to start dumping all the dirt she’s been compiling over al these years on those who she feels have betrayed her in the ‘rat party. I have a feeling it could be spectacular if she does.
That's the dirt she'll use to manage the superdelegates.

In all honesty I don't think she's going away. She's going to suspend operations and consolidate her resources. Talk to her Chinese ATM and build up for the assault at the convention. Her operators will keep digging at Obama and take him part piece by piece by releasing little tidbits about him to the media - death by 1,000 cuts Clinton Style.
Then she'll start whispering into the ears of the delegates and buy the ones she finds list on the political equivelent of "Ebay". The others she'll have files on.
She may pull it off, maybe. There could be just enough Clinton-haters amongst the dems to drive her off. They can't control her after all, and her death-grip on the power of the presidency must scare more than a few of them.
Either way, it's a guarantee that unless the rats have the guts to take her down themselves, she's not going away.

I agree with you 100%. Someone should be tracking funds from Chinese nationals and their interests.

Quite seriously, the rats may end up using her own tactics against her now that we're really seeing the fracture in the party develop. I'm pretty sure the powers that be, like *choke* Howard Dean are doing their best to prevent this. However, each faction has their power brokers who can inflict quite a bit of damage on an opponent when they don't get their way.
In the end, the money would probably be best put on Hillary. She's had the years to get the operatives and believers in place in key positions and Obama's a "noob".
This is also why I believe an Obama candidacy is preferable to the "second coming" of Clinton.
If she gets anywhere close to the Whitehouse her enemies list will fill the New York Public Library.

Rush may have forced the parties to do real reform of the system, so Ops Chaos can’t happen again. Sort of like how hackers improve security by showing the design flaws in programs.

Dude, I’ve stood in a buffet line next to a homeless person, and I can tell you if Bill smalled like that there’d be now Gennifer Flowers scandal, no Lewinsky scandal...heck, there wouldn’t have been a Paula Jones scandal because she wouldn’t have wanted to be in an enclosed space with the guy.
However, like many of the homeless, Bill is mentally ill and refuses help.
