An extremist Mexican "La Raza" group that annually gets millions of U.S. federal grant dollars will receive even more in the next few years thanks to Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank's multi million-dollar earmark to council Hispanics about housing. La Raza already gets millions from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for "comprehensive housing counseling" for Hispanics whether they are in the country LEGALLY OR NOT. Frank is giving the National Council of La Raza, which has raked in millions of taxpayer dollars over the year, $5 million dollars this year and $10 million over the next two years. In fiscal year 2006 alone, the group got $15.2 million in federal grants. Americans ahould be outraged that their tax dollars are going to a group that not only advocates open borders but says that California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas belong to Aztlan. The takeover plan is referred to as the "reconquista" of the Western United States and it features ethnic cleansing of Americans, Europeans, Africans and Asians once the area is taken back. It may sound crazy but the organization is very powerful and its leaders regularly attend congressional hearings regarding immigration.

"The strategy aims directly at a reannexation of the Southwest, not militarily, but ethnically, linguistically, and culturally, through transfer of millions of Mexicans into the United States and a migration of "Anglos" out of the lands that Mexico lost in 1848. As Mexicans come in the millions - one in six is already here - they are urged to seek citizenship to advance the agenda of the mother country. The marches against Proposition 187 under a "sea of Mexican flags," the "Grand March" of half a million Hispanics in Los Angeles for amnesty on May Day 2006, that shocked U.S. politicians with its display of Hispanic power, show how potent is the machine Mexico is building inside the United States. This then is the Aztlan strategy: endless migration from Mexico north, the Hispanicization of the American Southwest, and dual citizenship for all Mexican-Americans. The goal: Erase the border and gradually circumscribe the sovereignty of the United States. Lastly, economic and political merger of the nations in a binational union. Stated bluntly, the Aztlan strategy entails the end of the United States as a sovereign, self-sufficient, independent republic, the passing away of the American nation. They are coming to conquer us ."
Why can we not sue our congress for misappropriation of our funds???

OY VEY! I think I’m gonna barf.

Time to de-fund the left in general, LaRacism in particular.
Time to defund the government.
This is outrageous! “We the people” need to rise up and stop this from happening!!!
This guy just seems to be always looking for more ways of being obnoxious.
And where, pray tell, is the requirement in the Constitution for this theft? I am sick of the piracy.
I need a beer.
Is anyone standing up to this?
Everyone needs to contact John McCain’s office and tell him NOT to speak at La Raza’s convention in San Diego next month! It is imperative!
You aren't serious. McCain is the Godfather of La Raza and they are his staunchest supporters. McCain cares a lot more about what they think than what you, or any conservative leaning person, might think.

You don't fix problems in court. You need to have a tea party.
I think that every elected official who takes a solemn oath to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution, and despite this supports the illegal alien foreign invasion, has comitted an impeachable offence:
Article.IV., Section.4.: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.
The plain English meaning and original intent of these words could not be more clear.
Trees and blood of patriots I guess.
This kinda stuff just makes my blood boil.
Sometimes I find it hard to distinguish between the “left” and the “government!”
Absolutely right! Many of the Founding Fathers knew that we would most likely lose our freedom and liberties not by a single hostile blow but incrementally and piecemeal as a result of apathy. I think Ben Franklin summed it up best when, after the Constitutional Convention, he was asked by someone what they had given us. His famous reply was “A republic, if you can keep it.”
Maybe what Hillary had would be better: whisky with a beer chaser!
One would think.

I’m disgusted with McCain (even more than before) and when I heard about his pandering address to La Raza it made me realize that the McCain-Kennedy amnesty, McCain-Feingold anti-First Amendment, and his global warming screed meant that he was the same old McCain. He reminds me of what Talleyrand said of one of the Bourbons of France: “He’s learned nothing and he’s forgotten nothing.” He’s the best campaign asset Obama has.
Sadly, I think you may be right. I’ll give you another quote from the author I cited in the post: “America faces an existential crisis. If we do not get control of our borders, by 2050 Americans of European descent will be a minority in the nation their ancestors created and built. No nation has ever undergone so radical a demographic transformation and survived.”
The PC Fedgov will wave the Southwest out of the USA and wish them well.
Me, too! And I intend to take it out on the politicians who selling us down the river.
“Everyone needs to contact John McCains office and tell him NOT to speak at La Razas convention in San Diego next month!”
He will just thumb his nose to those who contact him. McCane is nothing but a closet democrat. I see very little difference between the three stooges that vie for residency in the WH.
Atlas Puked!!!
“I see very little difference between the three stooges that vie for residency in the WH.”
While I disagree with McCain on a number of things, there is a critical difference between he and Hillary and Obama. Hildabeast & the Bro are against the war. H & O would put far Left judges in the courts, especially the Supreme Court. H/O are pro-choice.
So what will you do? Surrender? Not be involved? Or join us in steering the ship? Bitching and moaning doesn’t get anything.
I disagree with McCain on many things, but he is not (as you said) Obama’s best campaign asset. I will vote for him, because I know what the Democrats would do to our military, the wars, and foreign policy.
Will you pick up the phone and call McCain, or will you just bitch and moan?
I am serious. And you are outrageous to state that Senator McCain is the Godfather of La Raza. That position was taken by Barney Frank with the Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villagrosa. But in the end, what will you do? Sit and complain, or take action?
McCain will triple their funding. He’s part of the problem.
Some new material for you Travis

“Or join us in steering the ship?”
I’ll hold my nose, throw up in my barf bag and vote for McCrazy simply because I am against Obama/Clinton. But please tell me where he is steering the ship toward? The horizon?
I still stand by my opinion that America deserves better than what it can expect from these three Stooges.
This post (<-click), from a tax-related thread, provides more details as to how constitutionally unauthorized federal spending got started when constitutional flunky Democrat FDR established his New Deal programs.
Also, note that when Jefferson talked about the Founder's division of federal and state powers, he mentioned that the Founders had trusted the states, not the federal government, with the care of the people.
"Our citizens have wisely formed themselves into one nation as to others and several States as among themselves. To the united nation belong our external and mutual relations; to each State, severally, the care of our persons, (emphasized by Amendment10) our property, our reputation and religious freedom." --Thomas Jefferson: To Rhode Island Assembly, 1801. ME 10:262 http://tinyurl.com/onx4jThe people need to reconnect with the Founder's requirement for constitutionally enumerated federal powers, particularly those powers which reasonably justify federal spending. The people then need to wise up to the major problem that, thanks to constitutionally illiterate members of Congress like Barney Frank, the federal government is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution as the Founders had intended.
The bottom line is that the people need to get in the faces of "leaders" like Frank, demanding that they start upholding their oaths to defend the Constitution by stopping unauthorized federal spending and appropriately reducing federal taxes - or get out of DC.
We recieved a Critical Issuues Survey from McKLAin today , (asking for money, etc.....fat chance I’ll send it) most was about jobs and economy and nat’l security and not one qustion was about illegal immigration!!!!!
snip.."Elias Bermudez, founder of the Phoenix-based advocacy group Immigrants Without Borders, is a McCain supporter who believes that, as president, McCain and his Democratic allies on Capitol Hill could deliver landmark immigration-reform legislation within the first 100 days of his administration."
He's dangerous..and we're in between a rock and a hard place. God help us..

Thanks for the article. Lou Dobbs had that episode on his program tonight. Apparently, it’s complete anarchy down there with the drug cartel. Some of the violence overflows to our side and I don’t understand why we’re not down there in full force to clean it up. Well, I do know but our passivity is making it worse.
I was told he couldn’t come to the phone because he was on a conference call with La Raza.
I think you make some great points. I’m now reading Jonah Gollberg’s new book, “Liberal Fascism” and he touches on some of the things you mentioned. It’s very interesting how he demonstrates that fascism emerged from left-wing ideologies. And how some of this Big Government ideology has affected our constitution. If you havn’t bought it, I recommend it.
That’s my feeling. I happened to catch Laura Ingraham tonight after O’Reilly interviewed McCain. She listed the things he said that were anathema to conservatives. As I said to another FReeper, he reminds me of what Talleyrand said about one of the French Bourbons: “He’s learned nothing and he’s forgotten nothing.”
Thanks for the note about Mr. Goldberg's book.
Based on Constitution-related historical materials, there is no question that big government ideology is opposite to what Jefferson pointed out concerning the Founder's requirements for constitutionally enumerated federal powers, particularly those powers which reasonably justify federal government spending. The problem, however, is that ignorance of the Constitution and its history is epidemic. Widespread ignorance of the Constitution is evidenced by the following links.
http://tinyurl.com/npt6tOne consequence of widespread constitutional ignorance is that the people are impotent to stop the feds from reaching into the people's wallets to pay for illegal pork-barrel spending projects.
http://tinyurl.com/hehr8
Again, the people need to reconnect with the Founder's requirement for constitutionally enumerated federal powers, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned. The people then need to get in the faces of constitutional flunky federal spenders like Obama and Clinton, demanding that these crooks put a stop to illegal federal spending while appropriately lowering taxes - or get out of DC. And we certainly don't want fools like them in the Oval Office.
I agree with your remarks. The links you provided show humorously, but pathetically, how ignorant some of us are about the Constitution. I’m an avid reader but one of the books on my shelf of “required reading” which I havn’t yet read is “The Heritage Guide to the Constitution.” I have made a cursory “thumb through,” however. Perhaps the best way to describe it is to quote a couple paragraphs from the jacket of the book: “The Constitution,” pledged George Washington, “is the guide which I will never abandon.” Can we say the same today? Under the leadership of former Attorney General Edwin Meese, the “Heritage Guide...” brings together more than one hundred of the nation’s best legal experts to provide the first line-by-line examination of the complete Constitution and its contemporary meaning. Stressing the original intent of the Framers as the authoritative standard of constitutional interpretation...” Anyway, the book is about 500 poages and it avoids oversimplification without anesthetizing the reader with arcane “legalize.” I’ve learned that much just with my quick-scan. You may already have this book but, if not, you may want to check it out. I bought it because it had rave reviews by very astute critics.
That’s an awesome slide show! Thanks! Kudos to the photographer.
Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy, John McCain, it doesn't matter. Their positions are all the same when it comes to security for my Country. None of them believe in it.
So Barney Frank and Teddy K were “for” the war? Hmmm. The memo must have got lost in distribution. Let me guess? You’re a “Ron Paul-will-save-us” kindof person.
You’re still outrageous.

You’re statement is still outrageous.
I am told that Ron Paul is printing “Letters of Mark”...just in case he wins the presidency.
