State Benefits for Legal Residents Only? + Pro-Illegals meeting at the Arkansas State Capitol
KARK Channel 4 ^ | 05/07/08 | Stephanie Jackson, KARK 4 News

Thursday morning, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel approved the ballot title of an initiated act, seeking to stop illegal immigrants from getting state services and benefits.

The proposal, if approved by voters in November, would require immigrants to prove their legal status before getting such benefits. The group pushing this initiative, Secure Arkansas, must now collect 61,794 signatures from registered voters, to get this proposal on the November general election ballot.

The Secretary of State's office says those signatures must be turned in by July 7.

The group Secure Arkansas will need help in gathering signatures, especially on May 20th, the date of the Arkansas Statewide Primary. This is the website of the group that is organizing the ballot initiative. They will soon have forms available:

Illegals using state buildings!
I just word that there is a meeting at the State Capitol today May 07th at 11:30am by pro-illegals. The meeting is called "Plaza Communitas" (maybe misspelled) and is to be about using state buildings to help educate illegal aliens. I will have to be at work at 11am, if there is anybody who can videotape or take pictures of this event, feel free to visit the State Capitol or contact me.

If ever wondered why we spend 75 cents of every Arkansas tax dollar on education, here's part of the reason why!

I hope that this really takes off and sends a message to the state governments that it is possible to fight off the invasion.

Residents of Arkansas: Sign the petition!

UPDATE!

The Mexican Consulate apparently decided to block the media and immigration reform activist from entering some of the meetings at our State Capitol! The spanish meeting was held at room 149 and an english meeting was in room 272. Kathy Bradshaw of the Sec of State became angry when an activist with a video camera began to tape events. More information will come soon!

Hey - we tried in California! Remember Proposition 187? Completely shot down by U.S. District Judge Thelton Henderson. Who proves every day he’s on the bench what a complete and utter tool he is.

If any one current issue displays how so many government officials are blatantly bought off, the immigration issue has to be the leading candidate.

The purse strings are so tight that only a blind and deaf idiot could have even a slight chance of not realizing the obvious.

And if there was one issue to which our “annointed” leaders turn a deaf ear while we’re screaming at the top of our lungs it is the way illegal aliens have negatively impacted our schools, health care, roadways, and neighborhoods. Big business wants illegals because they are a source of cheap labor; Democrats want a new voting block in place to call upon when Blacks finally wise up that the Dems WANT them poor and iliterate (so they can “help” them).

And who gets s*****d? We do. Higher health care and automobile insurance premiums, and educational abyss for our children, closed emergency rooms and the threat of harm from unlicensed and uninsured drivers hurling themselves down our freeways in junk cars at 90 miles an hour.

Not to mention the gang members committing crimes against the citizens.

Oh, and to those demonstrators that proudly display illiterate signs decrying that say we “stole” the land from you and you’re the REAL owners of the U.S. - I have only this to say:

Montezuma didn’t speak Spanish.

I hope Arkansas gets this passed. If not they’re looking at this.....

Study Shows 25 Percent of L.A.’s Welfare Goes to Illegal Aliens
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2012644/posts

‘Supervisor says county spends more than $1 billion a year on benefits to illegals. According to new data from the Department of Public Services, nearly a quarter of Los Angeles County’s welfare and food stamp benefits goes directly to the children of illegal aliens, at a cost of $36 million a month. “The total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers far exceeds $1 billion a year - NOT including the millions of dollars for education,” said Antonovich. “With $220 million for public safety, $400 million for healthcare, and $432 million in welfare allocations, illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers.” In March, illegals collected over $10 million in welfare assistance and $16 million in food stamp allocations.’

Illegal aliens should have no benefits. They should not even be in this country.

Good luck to you, sincerely...I applaud your efforts.

Illegal aliens and the families of 'anchor' babies MUST NOT receive federal/state benefits. I believe that this may be an even a greater magnet for illegals to enter the country than jobs and they are draining what is needed for AMERICAN citizens who are blind or disabled, like me! (Read Senate Bill 2611 proposed by McCain to see the benefits illegals would have received had this legislation passed!!!)

I live in Ohio. Do you or anyone else here know how I can find out this information.....Assuming the statistics are being kept....of the total number of 'immigrant' families receiving federal/state benefits here in Ohio...how many/much of that total is being received 1) by illegal aliens, and 2) legally, due to an 'anchor' baby? Where would I begin to find out this information?
