Sioux Falls, S.D. (AP) -- Former Sen. George McGovern, who backed Hillary Rodham Clinton, is urging her to drop out of the Democratic presidential race.
McGovern said Wednesday he has decided to endorse Barack Obama.
After watching the returns from the North Carolina and Indiana primaries Tuesday night, McGovern says it's virtually impossible for Clinton . . .

First Clark, now McGovern... I’m starting to see an organized pattern here by the DNC to try and push her out of the race.
She now has party elders (Wesley Clark, George McGovern, Howard Dean) urging her to drop out. Fine. Maybe she will. She probably expects Obama to do very poorly in the general. She can then come back for 2012 and say, "I had the electability. I knew it, but you couldn't see it. You told me to drop out. You threw me under the bus. And we lost terribly. Now -- it's my turn, don't give me any lip. Just hand me the nomination."
McGovern, earlier Weasley Clark ... when will she hear from Kerry, AlGore, and Dukakis? The long list of losers dispensing advice is priceless!

She may not have the clout. Of course, there are ways, but none of them are legal. It kind of reminds me of the old movie, “Marie Antoinette”. When she was riding high, everyone bent over backwards to kiss up to her. But when her fortunes changed, she had to fend for herself. In fact, she was set up, according to the movie, by one of her closest confidants to go to the guillotine. (I’m sure this isn’t historically accurate, but it makes my point).

Does anyone even listen to that boob? He gave a very long and meaningless speech at our high school in Sioux Falls in 1968. It was absolutely mind-numbing and felt like all intelligence was being sucked right out of you. It was no suprise a few years later when I and most others voted against him. He, like my current (soon to be gone) senator Hagel is nothing more than a windbag pimple on the ass of time.

The Rush haters on FR must be feeling really good today with more "pressure" on Hilderbeast to drop out so the RAT party can unify behind Obamessiah. Then they can spend all their time and money tearing up Republicans instead of using the ammo against each other.
The Rush haters on FR and their conterparts on DU both feel things would be sooooo much better if we had just "put a stake thur Hillary's heart" months ago and let the mainstream media hand Obama the Dem nomination on a silver platter.
Interesting how these "conservatives" have the same views as the commies on this election. All they'd have to do is add a sentence or two about how Hillary voted for "Bush's war" and their posts would identical to the garbage posted on DU.
And as my tagline notes, does anyone remember when we took the advice of the loudmouths on FR who demanded we "drive a stake through Gary Condit's heart while he's down" because "we CANNOT risk ANY chance this man goes back to Congress". Condit was a huge albatross hanging out the Dems necks and those "conservatives" kept demanding he get destroyed in the RAT primary as soon as possible. They got their wish. The Dems should thank those "conservatives" for endursing "Dem unity" in November to keep that seat in socialist hands forever.
People in SD voted him out in 1980, then turned around in 1986, thereafter and returned McGovernism in the personage of Daschle.
