CHRIS RUSSELL | dispatch
Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann said he is "disappointed" and "heartbroken" over his behavior and took full responsibility. But he refused to resign.
The ensuing scandal first reported by The Dispatch last month cost four people their jobs, including two of Dann's closest friends from Youngstown.
Shaken but still defiant, Dann, a Democrat elected in 2006, said he would not resign -- and said he never considered doing so -- despite the expanding fallout from a sex scandal that has rocked his office for the past month.

This is a major scandal involving the Ohio Attorney General, who is a Dem. There is more than a whiff of Spitzer in this...
Just across the Ohio River, in West Virginia, there's another scandal involving Dem. Governor Joe Manchin who appointed an (unqualified) Democratic hack to the Presidency of West Virginia University. Subsequently, Manchin's daughter received a M. A. degree from certain administrators at the school which, it has been discovered, she didn't earn.
There are national-reach scandals. Ohio is a battleground state in November.

Probably another one of those ‘RAT “new direction” things they promised us before the last election.

Ohioans will be probably rue voting Democrat in 2006. What is it with Democratic men who can't keep their hands off women? And the NOW NAGs give them a pass because they're liberal.

I’d say that he is really “disappointed” and “heartbroken” that he got caught.

If he won’t resign, the people of Ohio need to show him the door, and the heel of their boot.

What fun is politics if you can’t get the babes? Sometimes I think Clinton was only in it for the chicks. Sad, but probably true.

And he takes full responsibility so long as that doesn’t involve actually doing anything.

Dann needs to resign. Strickland must force him to do so if Dann won’t go voluntarily.

By the way, even the far-left, unabashedly liberal Dayton Daily News is calling for Dann’s resignation.

Actually Strickland is from southern Ohio, around the Portsmouth area.
BTW, if anyone needs a “scheduler”, Jessica Utovich is available. Dann has probably been pounding her pretty hard for the last 12 months. So she probably did deserve that $10K raise.
To: mtntop3
He’s trying to pull a Janet Reno. Accept total responsibility for the train wreck, dust yourself off and stay right there behind the throttle.
To: goldstategop
Ohio Atty Gen. Dann was elected to his office in 2006 on the coattails of Dem. Gov. Ted Strickland.
Strickland is a FORMER minister who never discourages anyone from indicating (incorrectly) that he REMAINS a practicing minister of the Word.
What irony and hypocrisy....

While we thought that they were promising us a "New Direction" it turns out they were promising a "Nude Erection."

They fell on his sword after falling on his “Little Head”?
They left because of his shaft?
He shafted them?
He did not have sex with that woman - sorry, I guess that one was already used!
Please chime in; there are so many places one could go with this!

Sometimes I think Clinton was only in it for the chicks. Funny, I always have and always will think that Bill Clinton is queer. All you have to do is look at the way he points that index finger on his left hand - queer as a $3 Bill. He just chases the skirts as a cover!

"When interviewed for the sexual harassment investigation conducted by assistant attorneys general, Dann said Utovich stayed overnight at the apartment for reasons he would not discuss. During her interview, Utovich would not say whether she ever stayed overnight at the apartment, where Dann stayed while working away from his home in northeast Ohio."
The Ohio Attorney General refused to answer some questions from investigators. Resign.
